How does the autopsy show he didn't have his hands in the air when he was murdered?
Because there are entry wounds to his side which were caused by the bullet/bullets exiting the arm (ricoshet) The evidence of the autopsy does not support his arms being raised, it does the opposite.

Is that debatable, or is it beyond dispute?

What I read is the autopsy doesn't confirm either way if his hands wree raised or not. It was inconclusive.
But I guess it depends on which one you believe.

If these witnesses stick to their stories, this makes a trial of the police officer likely.

It's not beyond dispute. But I don't see how you get a conviction with the evidence we have now.

It is beyond dispute that at least one of the gunshots to the arm ricochet, sending either the bullet or its fragments into his side. This could not have happened if his arms were raised.

It wasn't inconclusive. Brown supporters are arguing that while his arms couldn't have been raised at the time, its possible that he could have still elevated his hands. That makes no sense. If I am going to surrender and raise my hands, my arms come up. Either out to the side away from the body or front.....even if it is just a little.

According to this article, and many more on a Google search, it was inconclusive. And this was the independent autopsy.

I chose my words carefully and for a reason. You would have to remember the sequence of events right after the release of the autopsy to get the full picture of how things developed. There is no doubt that his "arm" was down by his side at the time the bullet entered it. No one is arguing against this fact. Brown supporters are claiming that he could have still had his hands elevated/raised while his elbow and arm were against his body.
So yeah, it is still possible that he was holding his hands up like a retard......but his arms were most certainly down by his side.
ETA: I'm still trying to find the video of Dr. Baden where he discusses that his arm had to have been down against his chest for that re-entry wound to be there.

Just because they said he didn't take the fatal shot with his back turned doesn't mean that he never had his back turned during the shooting process or his arms up.
There you go, reasonable doubt.
