When an infant is on your flight

Do you negatively judge the parent(s)? Do you automatically dread the flight even more? And if the baby cries half the time plus, then what?
Or do you just throw in the headphones and move on with your life?

Absolutely.

That's really the only option.

Hate life and everyone on the plane if the baby cries for any extended period of time.

Parents can't help if they have to be somewhere and they happen to have an infant. Can't leave the child home...

Are you saying parents shouldn't travel until their kids are grown? No vacations for kids?

Babies have places to be too ell. Don't be so judgemental.

I have noise canceling headphones for a reason

Why would you judge the parents?
Many people don't live near their families now and are spread out all over the country. Why wouldn't they want to visit family with their baby? Might be the only time a grandparent sees their grandchild.

I have compassion for them because traveling anywhere with a baby is difficult. Whatever discomfort you have isn't anything compared to the stress of having an inconsolable infant.

Part of life, what is there to judge?

It's funny how people without kids think parents of small children can control how they act.

IMO, a seven year old moving around a lot and bumping the back of my seat is worse than an infant crying.

If it's a small infant I feel bad for the parents because every dickwad on the plane is judging them. Traveling with a small child is tough.
If it's an eight year old then I judge the parents also.

I've changed my mindset on this in the past year or so.
I used to hate it, and thought the parents were freaking nut jobs.
Now that I have a sister who has produced some offspring, I've learned a lot more about children and how they operate, I'd just put headphones in.

Leave the little diaper shitter at home..
he/she will be fine, just have the neighbors come by and throw some food in the bowl and let it outside once or twice a day.

I dread the flight more when a really obese person is sitting next to me, making me feel like I'm gonna be smothered by fat on the flight.
Yeah you don't naturally think "yay I'm sitting next to a baby today" but it happens. Most parents really try to be as courteous as they can on a flight with babies(at least on the flights I've been on).
