My only disappointment in the game was the offensive line. It should not have taken middle of the third quarter after they lost 2 starting DT's to get going. Factually speaking, their success came against Wisky's second string Dline. Won't work against any other SEC team we play.

I think the coaches held him back a lot in the Iowa game.

His NFL QB rating for the Wisconsin game was well into the 100s (116.96), which is excellent.

A qb rating of 31.9 isn't going to cut it most games, but he really grew up in this game.
His rating was like 170. It would be pretty damn hard to have a 31 with no interceptions.
His completion percentage is overblown. His YPA in this game was awesome. But you can't just look at either stat in a vacuum.
Jennings will help this team win this year.
Eta: the number above is NCAA passer rating, which is not capped at 158 (I think) like NFL calculation.

the Iowa plan seemed to be to ease him in to the game by running the bal, then start throwing. they actually gave him a pretty good variety of pass plays during the middle part of the game, he was just really inaccurate that day. he made good decisions, just bad throws.
after the INT, they reined him back in again, and given the way we were playing D/ their offense couldn't move the ball (and his inaccuracy as noted above), I don't blame the coaches for doing so.

Even in the iowa game, he wasnt that bad.He looked like he put in some work this offseason

I don't think it's a practice issue, I think it's a hyped up issue that will be corrected with more experience
I agree with this. No way they would even call the play if he performed the same way in practice. He's just got to settle down and that will take some experience.

I might have jumped the gun a little in judging Jennings ability to play quarterback for LSU.
Yeah, and the next time he sucks you'll be back to saying the kid should never set foot on the field again.

the long TD to Dural (nice play, but a busted coverage) skews those stats. Take away that one play and AJ's YPA comes way down.
(Yes, I know, you have to count all of his yards, I'm just saying a big chunk came on that one).

I just hope we can average 240 yards passing and 2 td's passing per game.

Some of you guys should put in your resume for some NFL teams...since you obviously know more than Cam....lol lol lol

It's what I love about college football, all the athletes are still young and developing. It's why we have such a great football coach who the players love. Les wants his players to be successful in life first and then football 2nd. The football part will happen, but having your head right is most important.

I mean my entire point is to not look at stats in a vacuum. You can't just look at one piece of a stat line and say oh he needs to improve.
Overall, it was an effective QB performance, and if he can continue having them, I really don't care what his stats are.

You really trying to take credit away from that? That was a hell of a play by Jennings. Threw it on the run and dropped it right into Dural on the run.

I tried to tell y'all after the big scrimmage. Great improvement across the board.

The most impressive fact about AJ as QB is that he doesn't hurt his team...an absolute necessity to be a winner...no fumbles,no ints....made some big plays in the clutch...this is only after 3 games...I think he will be fine...Cam has a plan for him...and AJ seems to be slowly catching on...and I believe that Grimes will get the OL to improve markedly over the next couple of games...

What I was most encouraged about Saturday night concerning Anthony Jennings was his execution of the timing routes with the WRs. I think this can be directly attributed to Cam. I don't remember any previous QB/WR combo prior to Cam executing timing routes. Prior to Cam, this was a huge frustration of mine. If Jennings and the WRs perfect 3 or 4 timing route plays this offense will be very productive.
