We do that, too.

I didn't know until recently that Ingio is also Saul Berenson. I was mind blown

I recently played this for my stepkids...the wife was almost brought to the pit of despair for not showing it to them sooner.

Buttercup: You mock my pain!
Westley: Life is pain, Highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something.

don't think I've ever met a person in real life that didn't like this movie.
My wife doesn't like it.
But only because she has an ex-boyfriend that LOVED it and watched it constantly. So now she hates it.

Public Service Announcement: If you are a writer for Homeland, how difficult would it be to give Mandy Patinkin this line.
Thank you writers.

My dad and I do the same thing.
We also say "You Fell Victim to one of the Classic Blunders?!" to my mom and sister all the time.
I also say "Unless the enemy has studied his Agrippa which i have."
I quote this movie more than i realized
One of my all time favorite quotes:
You mean you put down your rock and i put down my sword and we kill each other like civilized people?

There's a shortage of perfect breasts in the world; it would be a pity to damage yours.

Still can't believe he's Saul from Homeland. I'm usually pretty good at noticing that stuff too.

This movie contains two of the greatest exchanges of dialogue scenes in cinema. The scene with him and Vizzini battling to the death via wits, and my all time favorite:
Prince Humperdinck: First things first, to the death.
Westley: No. To the pain.
Prince Humperdinck: I don't think I'm quite familiar with that phrase.
Westley: I'll explain and I'll use small words so that you'll be sure to understand, you warthog faced buffoon.
Prince Humperdinck: That may be the first time in my life a man has dared insult me.
Westley: It won't be the last. To the pain means the first thing you will lose will be your feet below the ankles. Then your hands at the wrists. Next your nose.
Prince Humperdinck: And then my tongue I suppose, I killed you too quickly the last time. A mistake I don't mean to duplicate tonight.
Westley: I wasn't finished. The next thing you will lose will be your left eye followed by your right.
Prince Humperdinck: And then my ears, I understand let's get on with it.
Westley: WRONG. Your ears you keep and I'll tell you why. So that every shriek of every child at seeing your hideousness will be yours to cherish. Every babe that weeps at your approach, every woman who cries out, "Dear God! What is that thing," will echo in your perfect ears. That is what to the pain means. It means I leave you in anguish, wallowing in freakish misery forever.
Prince Humperdinck: I think you're bluffing.
Westley: It's possible, Pig, I might be bluffing. It's conceivable, you miserable, vomitous mass, that I'm only lying here because I lack the strength to stand. But, then again... perhaps I have the strength after all.
[slowly rises and points sword directly at the prince]
Westley: DROP... YOUR... SWORD!

"Tyrone, you know how much I love watching you work, but I've got my country's 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder and Guilder to frame for it; I'm swamped."

His facial expression when he says it really makes the scene.

Yes I think that's what's in my head, that and the way he said it - he really meant it, he had never been insulted in his entire life.

Humperdinck to Buttercup - "Please consider me as an alternative to suicide."
One of my favorite scenes is one of the completely useless ones. The scene after the wedding where Buttercup is with the King.
*kisses the king on the cheek*
"What was that for?"
"Because you've always been so kind to me, and I'll never see you again, because I'm killing myself as soon as we reach the honeymoon suite."
"Won't that be nice."
*to his wife*
"She kissed me! Ha!"
