and for the record, asians weren't exactly treated well. hell "yellow face" was still accepted decades after black face
Do you really compare what Asians, Irish and Italians experienced to the systematic state-sanctioned discrimination and oppression that Blacks experienced for centuries? If you want to compare apples to apples, instead of apples to oranges, compare Asians, most of whom have only been here for a generation or two, to African and South American immigrants.

slavery was different (although asians were often conscripted into de facto slavery)
but that was 150 years ago. it's no excuse today
and if we're talking about state-sanctioned discrimination like Jim Crow: yes. they all experienced that
go look up the history of californian jim crow laws. typically based in asian distinctions and not black/white

None!
But tf, there must be a way out for multigenerational impoverished Americans. There must be a solution better than more of the same, because "more of the same" is not working. Blaming others and seeking deeper dependency is not a solution. Fatherless households is not a solution. Homicide rates at 400% of the national average (suffered in the vast majority at the hands of other Blacks) is not the solution. Locking impoverished communities into terrible schools is not the solution. Northerners' urban habits of gentrification are not the solution.
Claiming there will never be a post-racial mindset in this country (when in fact that is the current mindset of a vast number of Americans) is not the solution. It is not now, nor will it ever be. Though some may think it advantageous somehow, it's a loser's gambit.

Dude this is the poliboard. Many people on here truly believe Asians, Irish, etc had it just as bad (maybe even worse) than blacks throughout the history of America.
