He stole those 2 drinks from the Indian guy in the store and went and stood outside to wait for the cops. He was looking for trouble.

I didn't realize the perp had just stolen from the store and I did not see a knife in the video. I'm going to have to watch again and look harder.
The bottom line is the perp should have never gotten into an aggressive posture with the cops.
On the flip side it seems like the cops could have demonstrated a little more prudence. They seem a bit trigger happy. But God bless'm. They're doing a job I absolutely would never want.
