Here is a video of the 2nd shooting in St. Louis. It's pretty disturbing but relevant to all the stuff that's going on.

I love and respect law enforcement but that seemed to me to be excessive force.
Now granted, I don't know the situation..why did they not have tasers to use? Are these cops not issued them? Are they trained to pull guns when it's a deadly weapon instead of the taser?
Once this video get's out, which it has, that entire area is going to explode.

I watched it and the dude deserved to be shot and killed
He is wearing a fricking sweat shirt in the middle of the summer and walking around like he is violent
in addition, he keeps putting his hands in his pocket like he has a gun
and he walked fast to the police officers like he was going to fight them or something
I have no problem with the cops shooting this man.

Those 2 officers were fortunate to have a kind upstanding citizen video tape the entire encounter.

The guy did it all intentionally. He wanted his death to be celebrated like Brown's IMHO. This is what the media causes when they hype up and glorify suicides and other deaths. Disturbed individuals who copy cat for attention.

The guy sat the drinks down and was obviously waiting on the cops so he could confront them.
The guy committed suicide by cop. He pulled out a knife and advanced on the police as they told him several times to drop his weapon.
It does look possible that he could have been tazed had one of the cops had one out and ready but they didn't. That does not change the fact that this was suicide by cop.

He absolutely deserved to be shot. There is no question about it.
ETA: And even if he had no knife, he deserved to be shot. The way his hands were in his pockets, the large sweat jacket, the non-compliant, aggressive confrontation... etc. Those cops have NO IDEA what he's capable of. As others have said, they will go home with their families. I say all this as a libertarian type guy. You have to have a civil society. He decided to call their bluff, and they obliged him.
