And moving to a tropical island getting a job waiting tables or working for a resort? Move with a couple of friends get a house and just live.. I couldn't be doing any worse there than I am here right?

My wife and I run a home service business and dealing with home owners makes us want to quit the human race. It's that bad. Doesn't matter how honest, how much discount, or how awesome our work is, people will complain, scam us, and downright lie.

We actually spoke about this yesterday at dinner...should we just pack it all up and head to a cabin in Montana for a few years. While the answer is yes, we can't because we love TV and fast internet too much. :-)

Yes. It's in the works although I don't plan to live there full time.

All good and well until you get really old...like 40 and up. Then it gets weird.

Would be amazing but I've never really thought about it... After spending time at a bar kinda like that called the Soggy Peso it made me think how much fun it could be. Now Im thinking about it... Great. Lets go off grid together.

Thought about it? I was an apprehensive wife away from taking a job in a tax haven.

Most people don't have the balls to do that.

But ask yourself, on a scale of 1-10 what is the absolute WORST case scenario that would unfold if you did just what you said? my guess is it's not near the tragedy as most make it out.
What, you're broke and have to move home and bum off your parents for 2 months. Big frickin deal.

If you're in a rut just go for it...don't wait for retirement the time is NOW!

Now ask yourself this, how hard would it be on a scale of 1-10 to get back right in the exact scenario you are in today. Again assuming the worst, my guess is moving back and finding another shitty 9-5 job would still be a pain scale of 4 max.

Do it do it do it
