lol, ok man. It's pretty well documented that this generation is the first to have a life expectancy shorter than their parents.
Document it then.

So you're ragging on a decade that you barely can remember and even that is from the perspective of a preschooler for the most part?

Do see the result of your fixed rate low interest guarantees mortgages

Buying a home in the 80s must have sucked... What was it, like 12% rates?
I was in the mortgage business in the 1980s. When I got in rates were 13% and falling. They had been as high as 17%. The pool of people that could qualify then was much smaller. Rates continued to drop and by the end of the decade were in the 6.5-7.5% range IIRC.
The interest rate on the first house I purchased (in 1986) was 9%.

No way you can tell me...it's easier to buy a house now without a first home buyer
If you qualify for a home then it is pretty damn easy. If you don't qualify for a loan, it's probably because you can't afford a home.
It is so inexpensive to buy now versus then that it is a better environment for buying homes now.

I remember plenty of it. I'm allowed an opinion.

I was in high school in the 80s and freaking loved every minute of it. I loved that cell phones were not prevalent. My friends and I could do stupid teenage shite and no one felt compelled to tweet it, facebook it, snapchap it or youtube it.
