Hell...banking is so screwed up now for small businesses...and don't tell me I'm wrong...been in the family business for 37 years. Banks are a constant pain in our arse

I'll agree that it is much harder now to get small business loans. My father got one with 0 experience 1 week out of college in the early 80s to start a pet store in BR. However, that's probably mostly because it's harder to keep a small business going now adays.

REALLY?? You don't know shite about the 80's. GTFO. You were 6 years old when the 80's ended. And yes kids are far more lazy today then they were 30 years ago.

You're right. Carry on.

Sometimes the crap you post really humors me. I'm an employer. I don't have a problem with the work ethic of the younger people that work for me.

Also...what about all these big mergers and duopolies? Wall mart basically killed small business.

And yet there are many small business owners still thriving to this day.

There's no reasoning with him. Everything from the past is better for him.

I just don't understand why having more options is bad. Sounds like we have a bunch of people up in here that don't like freedom...

We have so many outlets to do whatever we want...

We can for the most part do everything we could in the 80's but we have more options. It is our decisions as humans that decide what we do or don't. But we can do everything that we could.

I'll say my father was pretty much run out of business after 25 years by petsmart. It sucks, but you move on. There are still small businesses that can thrive.

Dude...I'm not going to argue with you. Major corporation diversity has killed a lot of family business. Hell..I miss Perkins road hardware all the time

I agree with dreaux on the issue of small business. Much better in the 80's. Much harder these days to operate a small business.

Normally I agree with stuff you post. But you're off here.

I have actual memories of the 80s. I even have some nostalgia for the 80s. But that doesn't make it the best decade ever.

I never said that.. there are better things today than in the past. But if you didn't live through it you have no leg to stand on. And you are an arrogant prick. There is no reasoning with me when you want to say stupid shite like you are spewing in this tread.
