i mean in response to something, like this #Ferguson stuff. the protests around Ferguson did nothing

and this isn't just about racial stuff. the #Occupy movement was one of the most absurd pieces of shite attempts at change in my life

it didn't start out that way, although it certainly turned into one.

as for your question: i think the vietnam protests did, over time, have an impact.

Were there actual protests against SOPA? I also remember Obama wanting to go into Syria and people being against that and him eventually backing down.

Protests have been terrible recently because there really aren't any serious "crises". It's all insincere, and people join the protests to look cool and because they want to be like people from the 60s and 70s.

It's called 60s envy. It's all insincere and artificial.

Haven't read the comments, but the Tea Party protests in 2009 accomplished quite a bit, in my opinion.
