shouldn't it have been 2 INT's or did they rule it a fumble?

Pretty sure it was 2 and fumbled

Will be the starter soon enough

He had possession and let it bounce off of his chest. Ruled a fumble.

One INT had zero to do with Mett. Hit the WR in the hands and bounced up weird for the INT.

He looked as good as Locker out there tonight. Still has some ball control issues to work on - some of which just might be some preseason stuff. Armwise he looked great. Ball was on the money all night, even the one he threw to Vinnie Sunseri.
Funny highlight of the night - Mett scrambles for a few yards and instead of sliding he gets a helmet to helmet pop from Vinnie Sunseri who jumps around and celebrates it on the field and then quietly sneaks over to the sideline to get medical attention. Mett meanwhile goes on to throw his second TD pass of the night.

Mett will be a star in the league.

According to the ESPN Play by Play log the play where the WR lost the ball to Jean-Baptiste was ruled a catch and a fumble. The one INT was the one Sunseri got when he jumped the route.

I see Mett as a quality backup in this league not a starter. His lack of mobility will kill his chances.

Peyton Manning and Tom Brady say hello. Mett looks great for being two games into a pro career. Think about how good he looks compared to some of the other non starting QBs that get time in the preseason.

Whoa, whoa whoah...Peyton Manning and Tom Brady??? That's who you want to compare Mett to ? Why don't we start with Phillip Rivers?

I have said similar things to this but I have come to realize that pro QB's don't run much. Mett actually ran away from Junior Gallete tonight and threw the ball away.
Locker sacked once tonight. Whitehurst sacked once and knocked out of game. Mett did not take a sack tonight.
