I heard they threatened to hire the best hackers in the world to track them down and then theyd kill them.

How hypocritical of the group Anonymous being opposed to the cop remaining anonymous.

Sounds like Anon may have gotten this recent one right...

Chief is doing a presser right now and was asked about the first name from this morning... He said that it was wrong.

Reporter says "Anon just released another name, XXXXX"

Chief kind of looked dear in the head lights and said "I'll have a response to that later"

i completely disagree with this. The rioting mobs will burn his house down, and thats all if he and his family are lucky.

This in no way is similair to George Zimmerman or any other white on black (or vice-versa) crime because individuals represent themselves.

In this case, a police officer represents an entire police force and local government - hence the reaction we've seen.

His identity will be made public eventually as the investigation evolves, so its not like theres an attempted cover-up. I see no problem witholding until the situation calms.

Wow. A voice of reason. Hard to find around here sometimes.

"Why on earth should this be "secret" anyway?"

Agreed. Is there some protocol here, at the very least, that is being followed? not that it would excuse keeping this information from the public, but I am at a loss as to the basis (sufficient or not) for not releasing this information.

As for safety, I suppose that could be a reason for as long as it takes to dispatch a security detail to the officer's house, but no longer. As the chopper jock noted, we knew who George Zimmerman was, and he was a private citizen!

going after a cartel is a whole different animal than going after a police department or just regular citizens.

the cartel doesn't have to worry about pr and they have the means to rock peoples worlds.

"Anonymous" can piss up a rope.

My point stands, however.

Yep. Everytime I see Anonymous making noise I think about how they folded up the tents when a mexican cartel explained the facts of life and death to them.

Again, i ask...is this the FIRST time a cop has killed a black man and the "community" thought it was unjustified?

Do you think a cop has never killed a white man and the white "community" thought it was unjustified?

quote:

A) How many houses of THOSE cops were burned?

Irrelevant.

quote:

B) How many of those officers had their families killed/attacked by the mobs?

Irrelevant.

There's always a first time.

The "community" is acting like a lynch mob so we'll keep the cop's identity secret until they stop acting like a lynch mob.

I think in this case, not releasing the name is pretty reasonable.

Look at what the idiot mob has already done, not knowing any facts whatsoever.

I'm not asking for that cop's name to be withheld, either?

I don't get the point of the question. i think if a police officer discharges his gun, it should be a matter of public information. White, black, or canine "victim".

Well, then that settles it.
