Would you have allowed Rory's group to play up...?

If you are Phil and Ricky.. Do you allow that shite they pulled at the PGA..? Or do you say no and go try and throw a dart in there close and make Rory have to come back the next day?

I'm torn on this... Seems like the right thing to do to let them play up so that they could finish... However, had they said no and then hit one close... That makes that tee shot even tougher and may have had an impact...

I think Rory would have won regardless but it was interesting for sure

I did not watch it. But leave it to the PGA to mess something up.

Seems to me they should have played a 4some coming in.
RM was waiting on 18tee before fowler even hit his tee shot.

Have they said what happened? A couple have said officials made the decision for both tee and next shot. I'd have not allowed it. Either one. If Rory it's hit in water what do u do?

Yeah, they could have played 4 into the green no problem, and it would have been epic.

Sadly, that didn't happen.

So, not really epic IMO.

why would you want Rory to come back out in the daylight and beat you?

make him beat you in the dark

I think you do. I think Rory would feel rushed (and did) more than it would hinder you.

If you're gonna eagle 18, might as well do it in front of him.

Tee off together, but Phil and Fowler should have been allowed to finish the hole before the approach shots from the final group

Probably. But I think if Rory hits that same tee shot on 18 tomorrow morning it goes in the water.

Phil acted like a little bitch. He was down 2 going into the easiest hole on the course and knew he wasn't going to win it. Kudos to Rickie for not acting like a spoiled child.

It was VERY dark and would have been an insult had Phil made Rory basically finish his PGA Champ winning round in the morning.

No. I would not have let them hit their tee shots. This was poorly handled by the PGA, and in my opinion it served as a major distraction to Phil and Ricky. It appeared to me that the PGA was more concerned about completing the tournament on Sunday to satisfy CBS. As far as I'm concerned it was total BS.

The PGA made a huge mistake by not pushing up all tee times in the morning. On Saturday they knew that they were in serious danger of bad weather and of not finishing the round on Sunday. They should have taken preventative measures... All they needed to do was push up all the tee times an hour or so.

I would like to think I would have, but idk.

Their drive? Sure. That's not unheard of. Even in a major, that's not that big of a deal IMO.

Approach? That's a different story. Phil or Rickie make eagle, or even birdie, and now you've got pressure applied.

I would have probably let them hit their drive, but not an approach.
