Yeah we're gonna need a few of these teams to have surprise season. And we CAN NOT afford another Rhode Island. Was hoping for more marquee names, but what can ya do.

It's just evident no one wants a piece of Jones and his crew

But seriously, this OOC is dogshit. even worse we have a nice trap game at West Virginia

Got my season ticket renewal form in the mail today. Will likely not renew based on the schedule. I'm tired of waiting for a better schedule each season.

Season tickets are basically a donation and show of support to the team. However, the only way I can show disapproval of the schedule is to not renew.

I can always find cheap tickets for 2-3 good games.

yeah, but if we can win all those games we're basically halfway to a bid. but like another poster said...we're still going to need 12 or 14 conference wins, or a fairly deep run in the sec tourney.

That's a pretty weak schedule. We can't afford to have any screw ups ooc like we did last year.

Yeah I pretty much look at it as a donation. I'm about to go back to school so I'll be able to get in free, but I'll probably renew at least 1 of the 2 I have and continue to go with friends for the most part. I really try the best I can to get a lot of people interested in LSU bball that maybe normally wouldn't (not easy). This will be an exciting team I think, regardless of whether we go dancing or not.

I'm at school and will be purchasing a couple tickets this year. Basketball is my love and I think we're on an uprise. I'll do whatever I can to show my approval. Yea, it's not a great schedule but it's not just absolutely terrible. No big name games, but some solid opponents prior to SEC that can give us wins and experience.

My first impression is that it's a little better than last year's. Still not great and a little disappointing, but I think other teams and a lot of media outlets are starting to recognize that we are on an overall upswing. The marquee opponents will come.

I live in Beaumont TX during the week but Im not getting rid of my tickets... Hopefully I'll get back to BR full time before the end of the basketball season. Either way I love my seats and I wouldn't want to try and get season tickets before next years season cause they are gonna be hard to find any good seats then.

Look for 2015 season to have marquee ESPN matchups against the likes of a Duke, Texas, or Kansas type team. Especially if Simmons can sway some of these other 5-stars. ESPN loves the freshman matchups and with the top player in the country we'll almost undoubtedly have a game or two like that

Not particularly. Last year UMass was expected to compete for a NCAAT spot going into the season. LSU also played in a holiday tournament that included SJU, Butler and Memphis (Okla. St was also in the field). Butler fell off from their recent great success but Memphis was ranked and expected to be a NCAAT. The nice surprise was the SJU also made the NCAAT.

This year there is no Memphis-like team on the schedule. The holiday tournament has a few teams that "might" make the NCAAT, but no one who is necessarily expected to do so. Umass will probably be worse. TTU and WVA are well coached, but I don't know if they're anything more than middle of the pack in their conferences.

I agree with everything you said, but I was mostly referring to the home slate of games.

LSU Basketball Non-Conference Schedule Announced

Wow, truly pathetic.

Not sure I am going to renew. Really, absolutely zero effort put forth.

Any work on this was put forth last year with return games.

This invisible tournament they are playing in was set up by LSU Sports Properties(CBS owned). Guess what, its on CBS Sports Network, which is not on COX Cable in LA. Trying to get people to call to Cox to add CBSSN to their sports package.

WVU set up by ESPN

So since scheduled was finalized last year, lets see what they accomplished by looking for games.

Morehouse
Gardner Webb
McNeese State
Sam Houston State
Charleston
Southern Miss
Savannah State

I'm not saying we have to, but we really need to run the table or lose at most 1 of those OOC games. The SEC will be very weak once again and we cant expected to make the NCAAT if we lose a few of those OOC games and then go something like 10-8/11-7 in the SEC.

SEC was going to review and approve this year, to make sure there are no shite schedules. After this breezed through, Miss St may schedule the entire SWAC as their non-conf games
