It's some story from like 15 years ago. I thought it was a weird title for the show since I've never heard of anyone calling him that.

Evidently it's some kind of inside joke where Ott said his name sounded like a Norwegian prince or something like that. Nothing like an inside joke to draw the crowds in.

Hannagriff called him the Polish Prince years ago and it evolved to Ponamsky calling himself the Prince today.
