Muslims seem to be protected by political correctness by the left, yet they are extreme social conservatives.

They do things that make Rick Santorum look like a San Francisco nudist at a LGBT parade.

So my question is... why are they not bashed by the left worse than they bash Republicans? If somebody says something "offensive" about Muslims, they are jumped on. Do the same to conservative Republicans, and they are fair game.

Help me understand.

Many on the left do not want to be seen as being as narrow minded and judgemental like those they rebuke on the right for the same reason. One reason perhaps.

Obama is one of them. You can't bash Muslims and blindly support dear leader.

Stolen from tumbler in action but this is how these SJW think

They are freaking out because their once LTBG leader wears this

Someone from Indian points out its pretty chill
quote:

Okay, okay calm down, people.
While you are all losing your mind over ‘cultural appropriation” of an Indian dress, nobody actually consulted THE INDIANS.
In our country, if a foreigner wears an Indian saree, we actually appreciate it. It shows that the foreigner respects us enough to try our clothes. And the saree, mind you, is not a religious thing. Hindus can wear sarees, Muslims can wear sarees, Sikh’s can wear sarees, Jain’s can wear sarees and so on.
Like Americans have short dresses, compare that with sarees. Going to a party? Saree. Going to temple? Saree, and so on.
Some Indians wear it, some don’t. Some hate it and think its oppressing, some love embracing the unique style.
Point is, don’t hate on her for wearing this. Don’t hate on anyone for wearing sarees or any variations of sarees. We love to see others embracing our culture. Why do you think we open our gates to allow everyone to practice yoga and find spiritual meaning?
Culture is not meant to be kept within four walls, it should be spread.

and they come out striking
quote:

No. Just no. Nothing in this post is good or right. frick lady gaga for wearing this, frick the native Desis who are co-signing this, frick any desi or any POC who is okay with fricking letting whites get away with shite like this.
If you can’t hold white people accountable for their bullshite white assholery, then frick you. frick you and frick any solidarity you expect from us.
Just because some ignorant frick desi is too uneducated and lazy to educate themselves on why this is harmful and marginalizing to already oppressed communities doesn’t mean you get to go scott-free for frickshit like this.

Simply, it's because Muslim countries are authoritarian. They demand, command, and get what they want from a central authority. They rule with fear. Hence, you have a Democrat Party led by a ruler named BHO.

Ask Brandeis University why they hate women

quote:

Brandeis’ sudden rejection of Ms. Ali came after university officials were pressured to bar her.

More than 85 of about 350 faculty members signed a letter asking for her to be removed from the list of honorary degree recipients.

In addition, an online petition, created Monday by Brandeis students, had garnered more than 6,000 by Tuesday afternoon.

“We see this decision as a personal attack on Brandeis’ Muslim students, and as minorities at a predominately white, Jewish university, many of us feel isolated and unwelcomed,” reads a Tuesday op-ed in the university’s student newspaper written by the Brandeis Muslim Students Association.

if SHE cannot criticize Islam, after all the bullshite it has wrought on her life, then nobody can in their mind

quote:

“I can only wish the Class of 2014 the best of luck — and hope that they will go forth to be better advocates for free expression and free thought than their alma mater.”

Because they hate Christians and Jews - and they are "different."

To be politically correct you must hate any ethos that aligned with our traditional culture for the first 200 years of our existence.

And you must worship anything 'different.'

An awful lot of American muslims don't live much different than their neighbors and couldn't point you to a mosque if you asked them for directions.

I believe it has a great deal to do with race.

While there are "white" Muslims, most notably in SE Europe, most people think of Middle Easterners when they think of Muslims.

Libs just won't go near critisizing people that are not white.

Need proof? While Liberals disparage and belittle what they consider to be fundementalist Christians in the US, they somehow manage to leave black churches completely off of that list. As a matter of fact, White Liberals are quite fond of going to black church services to give speeches. A Lib politician will go give a speech and get cozy with a black Baptist church in a heartbeat but wouldn't go within 50 miles of a white Baptist church.

It makes no sense but neither does Liberalism.

I guess the "left" is not as bigoted as "Republicans" by your observations.

Help me understand.
If you don't understand the difference between a politician and a religion then you are beyond help.

As a Conservative, I have nothing in common with those people. If anyone protects them it is the liberals.

How has this been overlooked for two pages? That's funny right thar.

It's hypocrisy and/or ignorance, plain and simple. The fundamental beliefs of Islam are the least tolerant of any religion on the planet, period. They get a pass by the left because they're not a Judeo-Christian faith.

Lots of liberals find islam fricking disgusting religion. for me, or my wife for instance.

But I believe that muslims shouldn't have to be persecuted for their religion. Or race. Like I believe that is the case for every american.

Can you cite an example?
