ditto on great steak at GW. IMHO, it's one of the top seafood places in NOLA though.

Yeah Tenney was a corporate chef (I think the head guy) for Ruth's for years.

Think about it logically, a steakhouse which is going to serve 100 steaks a day versus a restaurant in the upper echelon of dining options that only serves 20 a day. Its really hard to find 100 great steaks a day, especially if you have to buy through corporate mandated purveyors.

And independent steak house or a restaurant which doesnt specialize in steaks is always going to win out.
