No. Trying to delay until no one is paying attention so they can pull their shenanigans and resist Uber while protecting the guys who pay them off.

I'm scared of an illegal operation taking money from hard working family men and women.

These fanboys should have been there if it's so important.

UberX operates without proper permits and hires shady people off Craigslist.

So if the NOLA city council said it was illegal to breath without a permit you would obviously not do that without a permit

Would be an improvement over NOLA cabbies.

I think we can all agree on this.

Not sure why the city just doesn't make all uber drivers acquire the same permit as a regular cabbie. Seems like a win-win to me. Idk

It is not hard work to be a cab driver. It is not a "profession". Its a fricking low class job for idiots that can't do anything else.

At least Uber makes the service better through easier hailing and payment, a rating system, and clean cars.

Seems like it could be a decent job in retirement to get out and about. But I wouldn't be doing it in NOLA. Too scurry.

There's only a certain amount of CPNC's available. Also I'd like to see how many Uber drivers stay if they have to go through the same inspection process.

They cabbies hate it. The city can leverage the cabbies with this Uber deal. Finally able to get better regulations in place and give the customer a better experience. No need to bring in a middle man from San Fran.

Cabbies hate regulations and protested.

The city can now leverage the cabbies into these regulations with the threat of Uber

Customers are the winners

Uber is the out of town middle man. Their cut goes to San Fran.

As if Yellow Cab is suddenly the King of NOLA.

Hint: They are damn Yankee carpetbaggers from CT.
