Thomas named Illinois his leader yesterday
That's not good. He has some serious respect for their program and fans.

I don't think he did. Can't find an article naming any leaders or anything on twitter about it. Only thing I could find was 247 having Illinois and Oklahoma State listed as warmer. Of course, they still have UConn as one of his choices, so they don't know shite.

the guy Jalen Coleman that went on his recruiting visit with Elijah Thomas to Illinois this weekend committed today. Hopefully that took they last scholarship. if we make it past this week we gone be alright.

He's a guard. Surely they'll make a room for Thomas.

High profile players are definitely aware of fan support. Maybe, instead of rent-a-wins, we should consider rent-a-crowds.

Johnny needs to tell Elijah to go visit them again in a couple of months. Us Texas boys don't like that cold weather up there

TSD has learned five-star shooting guard Antonio Blakeney (Oak Ridge HS/Orlando) will take an official visit to LSU on the weekend of November 7-9, the same weekend the football team hosts Alabama.
Blakeney, who committed to Louisville on Sept. 4 only to reopen his recruitment 11 days later, originally planned to take in LSU's campus last weekend, September 19-21. Now he'll be in Baton Rouge at the same time as his Each 1 Teach 1 AAU teammate Ben Simmons, an LSU commitment in the Class of 2015 and the No. 2 player in the country.
The timing is also good for the Tigers considering the early signing period begins on November 12, several days after Blakeney's visit.
Blakeney recently received in-home visits from LSU, Missouri, USC and Kentucky. Oregon is also said to be in the final mix of schools he's considering.

Him coming with Ben is huge. Let's hope they can convince Noah Dickerson to come to.

God yes. Best weekend to come ever. Even if we lose, that will be a wild game to attend and some wild tailgates to see how good the fans can be when hoops hits the big time.

Convince Elijah to come back again and we may be set

And you'd have to think we could get Shaq to come back for the Bama game... He's always awesome to have around for recruiting, especially cause he loves him some Coach Jones.

crowd went nuts saturday when shaq walked on the field

The 7th is also the day of the exhibition game for the hoops team... So they will get to see a hoops game, a football game, and all the tailgating stuff. Plus academic stuff. Should be a great setup.

Since no one talks about basketball on the TR, did anyone get a chance to see pictures of the team this year? Martin looks a more "cut", and Elbert Robinson has done a great job in the gym. It looks like he's lost 60+lbs!! I was worried that conditioning would really hold him back this year, but that may not be the case. Also, Bridgewater is playing the wrong sport. Line that monster up at DE

There was an article not long ago that said Robinson had slimmed down to around 300 pounds, I think, and was working on making still more progress.
I haven't seen team photos yet, but it's good to hear Martin may have added some bulk. I'm wondering if Mickey has worked on expanding his shooting range. If he wants to go pro after this coming season, he'll need to broaden his offensive skill set. There's no questioning his athletic ability.

Elbert deff looked great in his pictures. I can't wait to see this years team.

i've been told he wants to get to around 290 for the start of the season. it'll fluctuate during the year but he's already put in a ton of good work.
martin def has the frame to tone up, seems like he has done so
