We can all agree the fans have become spoiled jackasses who leave games early. If you compare the early 2000s to now it is night and day. The atmosphere isn't close to being the same. My question is when was the last great year in TS as far as fan atmosphere goes.

'12 Alabama was great

It was pretty quiet at the end of the 1st half and beginng of the 2nd half..but it was overall really electric

What year? Would have to be 07. The South Carolina game, Florida, Auburn and Arkansas games were great

Troy game 2006(?). Shouldn't have been such a great game but it was. Russell to Bowe for the game winning TD. I could be mistaken though.

Ole Miss game 2012. Beckham's punt return TD to effectively win the game was awesome.

2005 was great with the exception of the Tennessee game.

Home schedule sucked too bad in 2006

USCe and Alabama were both fantastic atmospheres in 2012. 2011 as a whole was great.

Seemed like we just caught some bad breaks last year when it came to our three "big" home games. Auburn was during/after a deluge, Florida game was at 2:30 when it was unbelievably hot, and the A&M game was at 2:30 on a day when it was cold, rainy, and windy.

2007 was amazing.

The only game without a great crowd that year was the Ar-Kansas game. I guess people still had the turkey day hangover.

Florida in '09 was loud as hell. We shouldve won that game, I Dgaf.

Meyer said when he worked at espn that was the loudest he's ever heard any stadium.

I remember the 2009 Florida game pre game was pretty electric, 2010 game vs bama pretty awesome. I haven't been to as many games in the last 3 years though so I can't comment past that.

2010. It had started to decline slightly with the increasing tailgate restrictions and pay parking, but LSU had not gone full nazi yet. Also, the games were all super exciting as LSU was living on the razor's edge all year.

2007 was probably the peak as so many of the atmosphere destroying, money grabbing, regulations soon followed.

Early 2000's before we won a NC and started getting all our good games during the day.

A good game at night is still a great atmosphere, but it rarely happens because CBS snatches us up for their 2:30 games.

We've had a great atmosphere in TS every year since 2003 except 2009 and 2013. I don't get this harping on the death of Death Valley.
