"Biblical quotes"

Someone once told me is that the thing separating the denominations is the part of the Bible each chooses to ignore.

Jesus says a lot of things, some of them clearer than others. For me, and I speak only for myself, I'm supposed to grapple with that, to earn my spiritual depth by really wrestling with it.

I am very careful about how I present this. Jesus taught pretty clearly that the penalty is harsh for those who mislead. My faith is deep, really deep. Yet I'm very wary of blanket certainty. For me, that's because I try to stare deeply, and fearlessly, into the conflicting mess that is the Bible, and into the opaque words and elliptical stories of my Savior.

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one enters to the Father except through Me." That's pretty cut and dry, black & white. He doesn't say these people get in or those people don't.

I said this same thing the other day and wrote it in the book of "Cold Duck"... So yall better start praying to the duck or you are going to hell.

Or you could say each emphasis different things
Baptist - Get Saved
Methodist - Love your neighbor
Charismatic - God is powerful
Presbyterian (not the mainline) - God is in control of everything
Catholic - pedophiles
Mormons - see South Park
Church of Christ - musical instruments are bad
Seventh Day Adventist - Y'all got the wrong day for the sabbath
Unitarian - Everybody is cool, all roads lead to heaven or where you want to go. Not judging anybody
