Shreveport information needed please

Once a year a group of college buddies go on a trip to relive the glory days, drink, etc.
The guy that is in charge this year picked Shreveport. I'm trying to keep an open mind but WTF is there to do in Shreveport? Is it nice?
Two of them love casinos. I'm told those are nice. IDGAF about casino and will fish instead if that's an option.
So, is Shreveport a good place for this type of event?
We've done Key West, NOLA, Miami, the Bahamas in the past. I'm just not sure about Shreveport.

Yeah...Shreveport is not going to live up to these places...
It is not near as bad as everyone is about to make it, but other than the casinos and a few bars/strip clubs, there is not much else for y'all to have this type of event.

thats an odd destination unless he is a gambling addict, can't think of much else to do there that would be good for a guys trip.
that would be like picking lake charles for a bachelor party, if you are doing it for the gambling go to vegas.

If you like fishing you will be fine. There's plenty to do in Shreveport.

Seriously WTF, I grew up in Shreveport and only go back when I have to. Dining scene is not great, Casino are ok, bar scene sucks.
If they are set on gambling do a Vegas trip. But dont go anywhere near Shreveport for a guys vacation.

Shreveport's not that bad, but go somewhere else for a trip like this. You'd be disappointed.
