you are correct. i still have credit cards that old and great experiences with their customer service.
you personally like the fact paypal would treat a long-standing customer this way?

keep telling yourself paypal is the same as a credit card.

Yeah, they left a notice. Muhhfricka hasn't picked it up, I guess, as the tracking is still open.
I'd give the seller a little more time. He may actually be on vacation. I still don't see why he couldn't check his e-mail, though, especially since there was an issue.

i give up.
moral to the story is paypal doesnt cover loss related to digital purchases and they are willing to lose a 15 year customer over $5.
the end. sorry for educating you.

i'm really curious as to what this digital purchase was and why the seller was at fault here

patient Can't do anything until the tracking shows delivered.

15 years and the first time i've ever dispusted a charge..and it was over $5..they lost a customer.
So in fifteen years time you had one $5 issue? Yeah PayPal is terrible and they're probably devastated that they lost such a good customer as yourself.
Or not.

Digital products = high scam rate from buyers. Is that hard to understand? Welcome to day 1 of the internet.

There are more morals than that in this story.

Payment through Paypal?
When you return anything, always go through the Ebay return process. It ensures that he stays on top of it. Even if he is communicating. He shouldn't take it as a slight.
Paypal is always on the buyers side, so you WILL get your money back. Even if you damaged the parts and it was wrong on your end.
Ebay always sides with the buyer.

paypal fricking sucks and you'll eventually give up trying to get your money back through them.
wrong about Paypal like you are wrong about Amazon.
Paypal gets your money back quickly.
CC merchants can get money back quicker. I give you that though. But with paypal the most you will wait is 15 days.

I initiated the return through eBay and they are aware of it. The shipment return is still in the transit stage (two stages left, delivery and refund) but I'm getting impatient.
