This will work out well in operating rooms, construction companies, etc.

Especially shocking is the language about “equity” in the distribution of grades. Professors, instead of just awarding the grade that each student earns, would apparently have to adjust them so that academically weaker, “historically underrepresented racial/ethnic” students perform at the same level and receive the same grades as academically stronger students.

This board is literally an echo chamber.

Hmmmm......
Why us it OK to say one race might be more athletically gifted than another race, but it's way off base to say a race is more studious than another race?
Are we going to start scaling sports spots too?

Has anybody actually read the pdf released by UW or are we just forming all of our conclusions based on second hand info?

For Drudge. Goes to show the extent of his influence.
If you go to Drudge and then to this board I guarantee that you will find his headlines as threads.
I'm also guilty as charged.

There is nothing in the actual proposal that says such things. He quotes things that are not in the text.
Vapor-controversy.
I predict in 6 months this will be used as an example on this board by some idiot who didn't dig in to the facts.

That will destroy the higher education system because students won't have the incentive to actually study in order to get good grades but obviously that's what they want.

Do not fear when you fly the craft will have been repaired by an on the job pot smoking dud. If you live through the crash you will be treated by a UN. of Wisconsin diversity based idiot! God help what may be left of these United States.
