How was jambalaya jam? Actually wanted to go.
It's the tits every year. At lunch time, every team is doing crazy hors d'oeuvres (bacon wrapped, fried, grilled, seafood, steak, chicken, shrimp, gator, you name it) and selling or handing them out. At 5, you can buy tickets to taste jambalaya for $1 a serving and vote for your favorite. By 6:30, they're giving jambalaya away for free all you can eat. There's also live music from 5-8 with all of the bars open on 3rd street (some with their own bands) as well.
Not to mention they sell beer and Canes is generally giving out free sweet tea and lemonade. It's the best annual event downtown, imo.
The funniest thing is the aftermath, come 8:01, downtown is a ghost town until the late night bar crowd comes out around 10:00.

Meh. He has a point. Dude shits on nola every chance he gets then BR opens one restaurant that nola laughs at and he's drooling over his keyboard.
Exactly. His cognitive dissonance over Nola vs. BR is hilarious.
Truth. He was trying to give NO shite when we opened up two Cane's here

Plenty of those in BR. It would be nice to have the option of some good Pacific Northwest oysters in town, but I really don't think it is sustainable as a business plan. Seems more like something an existing place could promote and hold every couple of months.
Yea I agree, that would be a good plan. Regardless, BR downtown needs more restaurants in the worst kind of way so this place would more than likely be a benefit no matter what.

Those locations stay packed though.
