Just found their facebook page. Looks promising.

No surprise you pump up the "creative" versions rather than simply ask for good, quality, low-price raw oysters. You probably spend $50 bucks eating sushi topped with mayonnaise too. Moron.

You really should get off my tip. It's pretty pathetic.

Looks like Hog Island Oyster Co in SF. $3 per oyster, but damn they are good!

Weren't you just saying how BR is cookie cutter and needs more things out of the box?

No clue how this place will turn out, but damn no need to jump the gun on lowering your expectations.

RT is troll-ish something R2R isn't

A shame when normal posting is mistaken for trolling.

Plenty of those in BR. It would be nice to have the option of some good Pacific Northwest oysters in town, but I really don't think it is sustainable as a business plan. Seems more like something an existing place could promote and hold every couple of months.

I hope it works. Some good dudes behind it. I will definitely check it out.

Meh. He has a point. Dude shits on nola every chance he gets then BR opens one restaurant that nola laughs at and he's drooling over his keyboard.

Hopefully you will have a $.50 oyster night with a legit seafood menu to back it up. I don't care if you cover those gelatinous wonders with halloumi cheese and mushroom truffles if there is no cheap oyster night i'm not going.

This. However, if they were to do a cheap oyster night at the same time as college or pro football or LSU baseball, I would definitely go to that since I don't live too far from downtown.

I don't remember the last time I went to downtown BR

I was down there for the Jambalaya Jam last week and it was a blast. Downtown Baton Rouge is completely unrecognizable compared to 10 years ago and it's getting better all the time. There are so many more bars, restaurants, and housing down there now. With all of the hotels and condos going up, the nicholson corridor, and the streetcar, I think BR nightlife might actually be pretty awesome in 5 years. I'm actually optimistic for the future of BR for once!

Exactly. His cognitive dissonance over Nola vs. BR is hilarious.

Ah, never noticed his take on anything before.

That does seem annoying.

a $.50 oyster night

Genos in Houma use to have a 10 cent oyster night. I seen my brother and my dad take out 17 dozen. They went up to 20cents not long after that.
