it's 3 pitchers btw
No, it's just two. Marshall happens only if Aiken takes the $5 million or less, but only Aiken and Nix were all set as it was, pre-physical. You cannot blame Luhnow for losing Marshall because his revised pool strategy was the only way to actually get Marshall.

The quote would seem to indicate the opposite of what you think he's saying.
Its year three into the rebuild, I like Lunhow but it doesn't have room for one year delays.

I think the slots are going up, so we’ll have the equivalent resources to spend in the draft, it’s just going to be next year instead of this year. I think it’s a one-year delay, and when you’re picking a young high school player, the chances of you getting someone next year that beats him to the big leagues is pretty good. I’m not that concerned about it.
Perhaps I am reading this wrong and forgive me if I am, but nowhere do I see in this quote a reference to a one year delay in the rebuilding process. The only "one year delay" referenced is to when we get the draft pick. And, by his account, he wouldn't be surprised if that person happens to beat Aiken to the pros should we have signed Aiken. Its beyond my comprehension how people in this thread are spinning that into a one year delay in the rebuilding process.
edited to include the entire quote.

@AstrosFuture: Since his promotion to AAA Jio Mier (@JioMier) is hitting .310 with 2B, HR, 6 RBI, 6 BB/6 SO in 13 games for @okcredhawks #Astros
Wow. That is exciting/interesting to hear. I wrote Jio off a while ago after he seemed to have gotten worse from 2010 to 2011. He was always drafted on his defensive ability moreso than offensive, but hitting sub .250 in both classes of A ball had me thinking he wasnt ever gonna make it.

Chris Carter hitting .324 with 4 HR & 6 RBI in his last 15 games.
.269 with 6 HR & 11 RBI in his last 30 games

Trade him while we can

I know this is going to be unpopular.
But this isn't the year to trade CC. We wouldn't get anything of value.
I'm holding out hope that he will actually have a good season next year and then we can move him for some valuable pieces.
You know once he leaves Houston he's gonna find his stroke and be a star.

I'm just going to throw this out there....
In 14 games, Derek Fisher is hitting .380/.500/.980
I'm just saying. Not directed at anyone in particular.
