Please help me understand: Liberalism

Can anyone please help me understand the political philosophy of liberalism. How can the proponents of a belief system that views the removal of a living human child from a womb have the balls to send death threats to young women who hunt?
if this young lady had murdered a a baby instead of shooting an animal it would be seen as an act of courage instead of getting her death threats and a canceled contract

How can the proponents of a belief system defend an unborn child so vigorously yet also be so pro death penalty? Mind boggling

Most liberals are socialists and I don't make friends with any of them

yes because unborn children are like murderers! dumb argument

It's a mental disorder.
If you are dumb, you could be duped into being a Liberal, because you are stupid.
If you are of average or higher intelligence, but, yet, are a Liberal, you have some kind of mental or personality disorder.
Many millions of Americans are stupid, or, are afflicted with mental or personality disorders. That's why there are so many of these idiot Liberals.

Well...
See, even you have to point out fallacy in your argument.

The intentions of liberal ideology are good. They just fail every single time when put into practice.

I'm anti-death penalty but this is a defensible position.

This guy is a good example of a stupid person whose been duped into being a Liberal.
He's too stupid to see the difference between Charlie Manson and an unborn little girl.
People this stupid should really just remain silent and never vote.

I'll try to give a somewhat reasonable answer.
I think the main idea behind liberalism is that collectively we are stronger than the individual; that we should have government programs for healthcare etc. Liberals are fueled by evidence from countries like Canada and Sweden, which objectively are doing better than we are, so they assume we should adopt the same system those countries are using.
What they fail to acknowledge is that there are others, i.e. Italy, Greece, and France, that are completely failing on socialist policies. Also it's one thing to make something work in Sweden which is a small homogenous, wealthy country, and another to make it work here.

The problem is they don't always deserve it. For a party that is typically so against overreaching government power, it's interesting that you put your faith in the government to determine if an american citizen should live or die.
A better argument for the hypocrisy though is being anti-abortion yet being against any means of welfare for single mothers. If you want that baby to be born so bad, help raise it so the mother doesn't have to have an abortion at all. You should also probably be ok with a gay couple being able to adopt as well since that would also potentially curb abortion rates.

Because a fetus can not be murdered; it's not yet a being. That is...unless the fetus' father feeds the unknowing mother an abortion pill. Then it's worse than murder.
Liberalism requires serious philosophical elasticity. Very nuanced. Not for rednecks. You'll never understand, S.

Why should we allow that same government to decide whether somebody spends life in prison?
Your argument is stupid. It's a classic "Liberal/Statist" argument that, if we allow government to do anything, we should allow government to do everything.
It's a childish argument, but, then again, Liberalism is for those folks who are mentally very childish and/or stupid.
There are millions of Americans who are either stupid, childish, or afflicted with mental disorders, so, we have millions of Liberals.
I want FedGov to collect taxes in order to build roads to promote commerce. The LibIdiot's argument is that, since I want FedGov to do this, then, it's hypocrisy for me to be against FedGov telling me what kind of toilet I can own or telling me what kind of healthcare I can purchase.
Liberalism is childish and stupid.

Reward based on Need, vs. Merit. Equality vs. Inequality. Morality vs. (selfish) Darwinian Economics.
Of course, there are loveless individuals/groups who will take advantage and abuse the virtues of either the Socialist or Capitalist system. Even water takes the easiest path.

i could if we were talking in person but i'm not going to waste 2 hours of my life trying to do it on here because i'll end up having to argue with all the mouth breathers trying to push their warped and largely false perceptions of what liberalism is.

A person who spends their life in prison is not the same as a person put to death by the government. I'm sorry you can't understand that difference.
Also, I'm more of a libertarian than anything else, though I always vote Republican. You can assume that roughly half the country is "childish and/or stupid" and that you are the enlightened one if you wish. However, a lot can be gained by putting bias aside and actually considering the opinions of those you think you disagree with.

I consider myself a capitalist and I'm pro choice and support most social stands that would be considered "liberal". Being socially liberal doesn't make you a communist or socialist. I don't understand why so many people don't get that. Some of the most uneducated people I've met when it comes to allocation of resources and capital are dye in the wool conservatives. Always b^*ing about jobs leaving to China or anti immigration.
And I doubt that Jennings La. Is the hub of liberal or conservative thought.
