No tinfoil hats necessary, and its been a very bad day.

But take a look:
- Russia is flexing its muscles in a very Soviet way
- Israel is invading Gaza
- The entire Islamic world is looking for an excuse to blow up the Jews.
- Syria, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, ISIS, etc

Regardless of your politics, you have to admit the USofA doesnt exactly hold the strongest position in foreign policy right now that might normally deter some of these folks from getting a little rowdy.

So are we on a path to World War that we can't avoid?

And just to save you the time,

I hope so. A war with millions dead would be tragic, but it would at least get rid of some of the idiots who are currently allowed to walk this earth freely and without consequence.

When does a war become a "World War" ? When does a stream become a river?

Don't know, but Jack Van Impe and John Hagee have had multiple mental orgasms today.

No mention of Chinese expansionism???

I think these countries have been plotting for some time. Unfortunately for them, if it did come to a WW, those countries (collectively) would get crushed. Way too many "good guys" with immense militaries.

No, I don't believe so. Although I do think a war in the middle east between Israel and its immediate neighbors in coming within the next few years.

Sounds like a regional war, not a world war.

Re the obvious power down the road, China, they don't have the capacity to wage war and we're economic yin and yang with them.

We'll never see an Axis vs. Allies esque war ever again. There's just a few miscreant third world little shits wanting to stir the pot.

All the major players know they don't want to face each other but the leaders of some of these countries (China, Russia) are better at playing chicken than others.

I see some of these countries really pushing it close by invading neighbors and redrawing borders and the powers with the ability to stop them, won't want to use force for few of what it would mean. This will happen over the next 20 years+.

The US has the most advanced military
in the world.

Our political situation is "weak" due to
the national Obama mandate after
a decade of war.

Russia knows this and they're
power grabbing in their region.

I don't see another Great War, only
more proxy wars.

So you're assuming that Russia is responsible for downing MA777?

And that's news?

Which is understandable.

Let them work it out. They will kill each other off or finally grow tired of murdering each other and decide to be civil humans.

It's Ameircan foreign policy that is largely responsible for what's happening in the world. America, along with Israel, are the biggest threats to world peace.
