Out of that entire list there are only 5 beers that I'd care to drink.

I'd drink about a dozen, depending on seasonal selection. Then again, I don't go to Walk-On's, and I definitely don't go there for the beer selection.

Don't sleep on their beer of the month. I believe last time I asked it was actually a cider.

I actually laughed out loud. A nice Crispin, I'd imagine? Perhaps pear flavored?

I guess I'm all in on the douching because this thread went exactly as I hoped it would after I read the OP. The Krewe did not disappoint when the time to step to the plate presented itself

I did this event over the summer in Atlanta. Obviously the brewery lineup was different, but it was a great time nonetheless. If you are a fan of the zoo (and craft beer and music), I highly recommend it. Get a big group together and they will cut the cost (at least this is true for Atlanta's zoo).

ETA: Never mind. I thought this was being held at Audubon Zoo. It isn't worth is for Baton Rouge's zoo.

That beer list is underwhelming

They list Mockler as a sponsor and don't have any Mockler distributed beers listed. I would assume the list is incomplete.

Do you know if they'll have any homebrewers there?

The one great thing about homebrew clubs in south Louisiana is that if they let us serve, we will be there.

Our club has contacted the event organizers. We will see if they get back with us.

That's a very underwhelming beer list. Looks like Mockler and all their brands are not involved, or haven't announced yet. That would at least bring Tin Roof, Parish, Sweetwater, and others to the table.

Id go to an event like this at Audubon, even with that line up.

FYI. Homebrewers are being invited to this event. I'm not sure if our club will be there, but I did get the info packet today.

Boom there you go. Homebrewers alone will make the event worthwhile.

The BR Zoo is a shell of its former self. It really needs to be closed.
