I do 76 at night with a fan. I get hot pretty easily so I'm shocked at some that are so low.

I guess it is how I grew up. We never kept the AC as low as many are posting in here.

I have a coworker who runs his car for about 5 minutes before he leaves work to "cool it off." Incredibly strange and wasteful.

I just can't do this anymore. It has ruined my life. I think I am going to take her up to Circle K tomorrow... walk her into the Cold Beer Cave room and dump her on the spot and walk out.

Making her buy dairy at CostCo would also work.

I'm always cold too, but I remember to keep a jacket or cardigan with me.

Maybe all you dudes are fatties generating too much heat. 78-79....with a ceiling fan, is plenty cool for a normal, in shape person.

we sleep on 70 in my house around 72 the rest of the day.

but i think when girls complain about being cold they are trying to tell you how skinny they are.

You old? If I had it at 78 and the ceiling fan was on and I was COMPLETELY still, I MAY be able to handle it. If I moved one inch, that bitch is going down.

This... 66 at night... 70... maybe 71 in the daytime. No wonder my kids are always complaining about how everyone else's houses are always "sooo hot". Me and my wife freeze 'em!!! Not fat, either. Just warm natured. Didn't even think I needed that big ole heavy coat they gave us at ICE!! at Opryland a couple years ago (turns out... I did). I want their A/C system for my house.

Set ours on 69. And yes, every single woman in the history of women will bitch about it being too cold at the most inopportune times. Ive learned to live with it.

Do you realize how little money you are saving compared to actually being comfortable and keeping it a few degrees cooler?

I don't see this as strange. Who wants to he in a 100 degree vehicle? Wasteful? What do you think that five minutes costs him? A nickel?

This is correct. I go between 70 and 72 during the day and 62 at night. Yes, I'll admit that's a bit chilly, but that's how I like it and it's my house!

This. Ceiling fans require more energy than most people realize. The added cost isn't much compared to the huge difference in comfort that is sweating your arse off at night vs not sweating your arse off at night.
