So you worked 7 hours and only made like 60 bucks after Uber took their cut minus whatever gas money you spent?

Uber is great. Much more reliable and cheaper than cabs in Dallas

Question. Are you dumb or do you work for Yellow Taxi?

1. He already said just a few posts back that they are getting a different pay structure while the $5 ride special is in effect.

2. Uber didn't get an $18 billion valuation by screwing their employees to the tune of $5 an hour.

3. Why do you feel the need to come in and try to crap on the guy for getting out and working? Would you prefer he sit at home and play Xbox?

But, hey, thanks for contributing to the thread.

This may be a good way to make some extra cash when my girlfriend falls asleep at 10 on Friday and Saturday nights.

I have a few questions though. I just bought a brand new car, would driving for Uber void my manufacturer's warranty? And if my insurance company found out I was driving for Uber, would they drop me?

It's a ride share service, not a drug ring...you'll be fine

I don't see how it could void your warranty and I can't guess what your insurance company would do. Send me your email so we can talk more

Your warranty is fine. Insurance is a separate issue however. I would imagine your policy states that you only use your car for personal use. Using if for commercial gain (ride sharing) might not be covered. Read your policy or talk to your agent.

I don't see how that would matter. But insurance companies are dicks.
