Brendan's review meeting is tomorrow sowe shoulda know his future very soon.
It also looks like we're very close to finishing deals with Milner and Ings which IMO, is a pretty good tell that barring anything drastic, BR isn't going anywhere.

BR isn't going anywhere. And I think it's fair. The Anfield Wrap has their part 1 of the season review, and I agree with what John Gibbons and Steve Graves had to say. Graves in particular. You look at Liverpool since Rafa's last days. We have finished around the same with 4 different managers. One is a Champions League winner. One is the current manager of England. One is considered to be one of the main figureheads of the club-as a player, and manager. And the one who brought us closest to the top, in this span, was Rodgers. Are we ready to scrap the whole thing and start over with number 5?
Rodgers has shown me that he can win if he has the right pieces. Now this season was fricked from the start. I think if he could have predicted that Sturridge would be this fragile, then he would have pursued more striker options last summer. If he can have 1 good summer, then I believe he's the man for the job, and I think we'll fine in 2015-16. So why not at least see what he can bring in this summer? Worst case scenario, he's gone by Christmas and we go for broke for Klopp.

Well, he should have known because Sturridge is, in fact, fragile. It wasnt some secret or something that came flying out of nowhere. Sturridge having injury problems should have been the least unexpected thing to occur.

There is fragile, and then there is Sturridge. We all knew he would miss some time this season at some point. No one could have predicted he would miss as much as he did.

I would have sold Sturridge in the summer last year. I think you could have sold high there. His injury history is starting to drop his market value. The Suarez transfer pretty much nipped that in the bud however.

Supposedly Milner is imminent - however, he's not exactly free as there is supposedly a nice signing bonus (possibly up to 12m) plus his high wages. I still think it's great business .
With Milner supposedly being given a central midfield spot, I think this makes a 4-3-3 much more likely. I don't see Milner as the tip or backend of a diamond. And the 3 man back line doesn't appear to be our future- except possibly situationally.
Either way, I am ready to see some pics of guys leaning.

No one in their right mind would have sold Sturridge after his 13/14 campaign.

Yeah I don't see selling sturridge last year - we need top guys who are willing to stay and he is. Just bad luck his usual injuries kept mounting.
Seeing a rumor of a sterling for Gibbs and Walcott potential swap. Rare to see player for players transfers. Not a huge fan of this - but at least Walcott and sturrige could keep each other company on the training table. And can Gibbs play rb? Cause Moreno can't.

I would rather sell for the rumored £40m.

So a world class player having a historic EPL season?
Not likely to happen often. What happened to the pieces this year?
The epic collapse was super concerning. This team has far more talent than Hodgson or Dalglish ever had. That's a fact. Although Kenny and Roy both bought some utter dogshite, Roy's being cheap crap and Joe fricking Cole.

I'd take Walcott and 20M all day long as well. Don't want any part of Gibbs, although he's decent. I'd just rather have the money.

@BenSmithBBC Brendan Rodgers will stay as #LFC manager after meeting with Tom Werner. All parties agreed improvements must be made

Clearly there is really no one else out there available.
If Klopp was and interested, they would have gone after it, I'm sure of it.

"Par for the club."
That's what we're shooting for here.

That's what I'm thinking. Let's hope it doesn't come down to this though.
