Sometime last night a great guy was riding his Harley and a vehicle didn't see him and pulled out in front of him. He's hanging on for dear life. I don't want to post to many particulars out of respect for his friends/family. I love motorcycles but as been stated numerous times its not the bike its the other cars that you have to worry about. I'm just sick for all involved

I'm sorry for your friend and I will say a prayer.
I love bikes and rode for many years and while I know other cars are a concern and I was a very careful rider from the time I was 7, I know many riders who have no business riding bikes.

That's a shame, and I hope for the best for him, and will say a prayer for him.
I used to ride cycles when I was younger, but not anymore. Too many distracted drivers on the road.

That's not always the case. I will give you that Harley riders are normally safe and don't get stupid. Can't really say that about guys on crotch rocket rice burners.
My brother rides a sportster and is always safe and careful but I am dreading getting a call that he was in a accident.
prayers to your buddy.

amen - in my travels across the state I'm amazed at how many drivers on i49 or i10 for example still texting.

Non-serious accidents in a car are life threatening on a bike. Known several people killed and just heard of someone I know being in ICU for a while. Other vehicles and small mistakes make riding not worth it to me. I will never get on one again and neither will anyone in my immediate family. Very sad, hope everything turns out for the best.

I fell so bad for his wonderful kids - I'm gonna miss my tailgating buddy. What a great guy. I really wish I could be more optimistic.

My dad's best friend died on a Harley in front of his wife and children 14 years ago from someone pulling out in front of him. The family was driving behind him when the accident occurred.
Sorry to hear of your friend. Prayers sent to all involved.
I was cruising on I-49 yesterday at 82mph and a crotch rocket passed me like I was sitting still weaving in and out of traffic. I was certain I was going to come up on his dumb arse dead before the trip was over, but he survived I-49 at least.

I know the feeling, he has a beautiful family. I feel terrible for them right now. We're praying for a miracle, but things don't look good.

Prayers sent. A friend of mine lost a leg while riding due to a driver who wasn't paying attention.

Just curious... was your friend wearing a helmet? How fast was he going?
