That 900 BOPD well is probably lower than they were looking for. The financial results were a miss and Goodrich stock will probably take a beating as a result. The wells operated by others seem to have higher IP rates, but we will have to see if the production holds up enough to prove they are economic. The Blades well has made 58,292 barrels in the first 80 days or so according to Sonris.

GDP stock is down probably 40% since May. They have been taking a beating. I agree the SLC coming in at 900 BOPD can be considered an underachievement but this well could be better than first impression since its choked way back and has 965 oi. When factoring in other results, the info sharing agreement between operators, improved drilling times, its a positive for the TMS development. IMO it will only get better. The Bakken and Eagle Ford weren't built in a year.
So far stocks are up for TMS developers
GDP +2.05%
ECA +.04%
HK = .12%
Seems this is being received as good news across the board

I looked at GDP and HK a couple days ago. Yikes is right.
...Halcon only plummeted 16% today haha. It's at $2.51 after reaching 7.42 just a few months ago. Anyone re entering?

Hk just announced it was pulling one rig out of te TMS. That leaves then with one rig drilling. With that one rig they can meet their previously announced plan o drilling 8 in 2014. So, sounds like they won't be ramping up production.
GDP recent results shouldn't be what's affecting their stocks.
Nothing has changed in the TMS to hurt stocks, but oils priced have. With the declining oil prices it's not profitable enough to keep it up.

My intial position was at 5.30, I bought again at 4.50, and had an order to buy at 3.50 yesterday but it didn't trigger

For Halcon, I wish I was up that much. I should have dumped it at $7 and could have bought again but oh well.

Not sure how I feel about these "smaller" companies like Goodrich and Halcon trying to pioneer the Tuscaloosa. I know getting in early to the Bakken is how Harold Hamm and Continental made it big, but I think this situation is different. Devon didn't even want to mess with it anymore.

The guy running that show was the pioneer for the EF in Texas and the TMS is similar to the EF so it was a good match.
I fully expected it to be a commercial play that just takes longer to get rolling than others but now that oil prices have plummeted it just isnt economical to keep pushing forward in development.
Now I think you'll see more leases allowed to expire and drilling scaled way back to only the core area

I'm getting slaughtered by HK right now. May try to lower my average.

I lost on SD in the Mississippi Lime Play and said I was gonna stay away from the TMS. Almost jumped in last week. Thankful I didn't now

Goodrich probably can't survive these oil prices with ther high leverage for very long. Halcon probably isn't far behind them. Should oil stay at 80 or below there will be some consolidation among the Overleveraged companies in the industry and I wouldn't touch either stock right now.
