congrats on the World Cup Finals berth, Die Mannschaft

Really don't see how that wasn't a Red Card and now with the word of a fractured vertebrae....like said earlier security is going to be needed for that player plus the official.

That would be more difficult than watching Justin Bieber try to solve a Sudoku puzzle.

Really hope that he will recovery fully and be able to play again. He is such a pleasure to watch, it would be a shame for his career to be cut short.

Seems like rest is the key to a full recovery. Won't need an operation.

Amazing that not a single yellow card was issued in the first half- that was a brutal game...but sucks for Brazil that Neymar is finished for the WC. While the Germans have a big advantage, don't underestimate an inspired Brazil team- they can still do this...

That really sucks for Brazil ... I thought they'd be able to get by Germany but now they lost their attacking threat.

Oh the injury is definitely not nearly that serious from what I read.

Am I the only person who thinks with or without Neymar and Silva, Germany is just all around better regardless? I think they were final bound anyways.

Well it's always tough playing the home team. Even more so when it's someone like Brazil. I think that if this cup isn't in Brazil, they are likely out by now.

I'd have to agree with this. Definitely doesn't seem like a great Brazil team but they've been able to pull out some close victories against Chile and Colombia.

To be honest neither Brazil nor Germany have really been that impressive to me. However, it's not that any other team has come anywhere near looking like a clear favorite either.

Germany has been workmanlike the past three matches and gotten results but there's a paucity of the brilliant buildup you'd expect from their attacking talent and there high defensive line looks shaky even with Lahm finally moved back to RB.

Brazil has played with a lot of emotion but not really that well either. However, they just made it past two very good teams in Colombia and Chile.

I'd say pulling a name from Brazil, Argentina and Germany out of a hat would be as educated as any guess based on how they've performed so far.

Maybe put Netherlands in there as well since they get Costa Rica. . . . Belgium too, I guess, even though they've looked much less impressive than France or Colombia did before coming up against a top side.

Definitely thought he was having another epic flop performance. Germany's road just got a bit easier with him and Silva out.

Probably not the only one. But I disagree.

I still think I'll take Brazil to win.

Besides, with Dani Alves out of the starting XI, I dislike Brazil less than I dislike Germany at the moment. I want to see Muller crushed.
