Id like to try a pc game. I like rpg. Not too sure about mmorpg. Never tried it. I loved gta5 on the xbox, not an rpg but still. I checked metacritic and nothing stood out. I'm open to anything fun. I have a decent pc that should be able to handle anything.

Specs?

Dragon Age
Dark Souls
Elder Scrolls
Witcher
Fallout
Mass Effect
I'm sure someone can make a much better list since RPG is not my genre.

Watch Dogs, Sleeping Dogs, and Saints Row are basically derivatives of GTA. Sleeping Dogs is the best of those 3.

What kind of RPG are you interested in trying?

just played through witcher 2 again. theres a choice that you make in chapter 1 that completely changes the game. totally different experience depending on the choice. big time replay value

Yeah, running through my second play through now taking the opposite side and using a different talent tree spec. Only real problem with Witcher 2 is by the time you are actually able to get deep into the trees the game is almost over. Hopefully they fix that in Witcher 3.
Anyway, beyond Witcher 2 I'd second the recs for Dragon Age Origins and Fallout New Vegas for the OP.

A downgrade from 3 and that's without the DLCs too.
I'd get three first.

yeah, i went swordmaster for my roche playthrough, and signs for iorveth
what really busted my balls was how id spend a shitload making the best stuff in chapter 2 and then i find a random sword at the start of chapter 3 that is insanely better

We have very similar PCs right now, so you'll be able to play most things
Edit: If you're playing at 1080p that is

Yeah, did the same specwise from my first to second playthrough, though I went Iorveth first time, and Roche now.
At least with signs build some of the crafted stuff is still good for a while, but yeah, you get tons a of great gear right at the beginning of chapter 3. But then the game ends right after that so it's kinda meh on the gear anyway.

Matter of opinion, I much preferred New Vegas. Ending of Fallout 3 sucked (not the robot/Liberty Prime part mind you, which was great, but the actual ending) and pretty much went against the entire concept of the series with forcing you to be a martyr/end the game. And the endless tunnels of ghouls got old as hell. Just too redundant and boring at parts, although still a good game.
Fallout New Vegas did a much better job with allowing the variety of play styles that is a trademark of the Fallout franchise. And the DLC for New Vegas is great as well outside of Dead Money, which sucked.
