I think Germany scores early but we get an equalizer late around the 70-80 min mark to draw

Ppl can say what they want, but Ghana was a better team than Germany the other night. I really hope Johansson starts because it's very apparent Germany struggles with great speed. We have players that can fly as subs, but I'd like another to start.

The score didn't completely reflect it, but Italy was pretty dominant against Germany in Euro 2012.

Virtually everything you touch turns to crap..."mizzou-should-kill-himself" !
Seriously....did you just start following soccer ? If, you knew ANYTHING about the US national team, you would realize that w/o Bradley, we're not even in Brazil ! He's in a bit of a funk now...but will bounce back soon enough ! As for the US "dominating" Germany....please

Do you have anything worthy to contribute to this thread? Surely you have a soccer opinion.

I mean, you're here on this board, so surely you can contribute some soccer analysis, right?

I was serious, I like you

Back on topic...I think we lose 3-1 and Ghana beats Portugal. Teams that played in Manaus are 0-4 in the following game with a -6 goal differential. We'll be exhausted mentally and physically which won't be good against a German team that still has something to play for.

You're the reason it turned to crap. Dickfaw is appropriate, right?

Bitch please! Are you actually going to make believe that I'm the only one that believes that Bradley has been the weak link in these games so far?

GTFO of here with your arrogant nonsense.

Can anyone name a single thing that is in our favor going into this match?
- Germany have an extra day of rest
- we just played 97 minutes in Manaus and left disappointed
- Germany cannot be sure of advancing

If we were exactly even as squads, they would have to be favored in this game.
As it is, we will need our best performance ever simply to get a draw IMO.

they have like a 99.7% chance of advancing...

I think both teams play very defensively and timid, knowing just a tie gets them both through. I say it ends in 0-0 or 1-1 tie.

The Portugal-Ghana game is more likely to be high scoring since both teams need lots of goals. But I think Portugal comes away with the win. They need something to salvage from this world cup and are playing for just that.

Yeah I guess that's right on goal differential, so let's amend it to say they do not at all want to back into the round of 16 by losing to the U.S. They are going to play to win, every bit as hard as they did in the first two games besides possibly taking their foot off the gas earlier.

I just don't see that. We, for one, cannot hope to keep Germany off the board by playing timidly. Defense isn't solid enough. We need to make them worried on defense.

I think Cristiano and Nano will be out to prove something and will wreck shop against Ghana's weak defense. I could easily see 3-1 Portugal.

Thanks for the laugh. If Bradley is indeed our "weak link" we're pretty fricking good.

All the teams that have played in Manaus are winless in their next match, but we were 0-16-4 when we conceded the first goal in a WC match. And if it wasn't for a slew of extremely unfortunate events we're 1-16-4.
