I imagine it's like a W at any other school...no effect to your GPA and in order to graduate you will eventually need to take it.

Yeah, i figured as much - just was wondering if they have a limit on how many times you can resign or anything like that before it effects your status

This is my first session with LSUS and I'm kinda nervous. I have signed up for:
AP1
MKT 701 - A. Darrat
AP2
ISDS 705 - J. Gibbs
MADM 760 - E. McLaughlin
Should I add another class to AP1? I have an option for FIN 720 with either Sung Kim or Chengho Hsieh. Preference...thoughts?
Also, any tips on the classes selected would be welcomed.

Anyone have any feedback on the work volume of FIN 701 vs MKT 705? I got into the KT 701 with Darrat so I need to drop one of those. Which one would be more pairable?

Is it just me or is this assignment 4 for MADM710 just a copy of Assignment 2 plus a job analysis in paragraph form? I get making tweaks to previous job description but really feels we're having to overhaul our previous work for the sake of overhauling just to fall under the required TurnitIn.
I've enjoyed this course so far quite a bit but just feels like this week is a bit on the side of busy work with the assignment. I went into great detail on Assignment 2 and didn't get any feedback but great job. I don't particularly think it's possible to go into much more detail than I already did. I think there's a part 3 of this job analysis upcoming, I REALLY hope there's a bit more to upcoming part 3 of this assignment than basically just reviewing what we've already done and having to write it to fall under the TurnitIn score.

ACCT 701 with Ambrosio: Would someone who has taken this class tell me which textbook was previously used in the course? I'd like to do some end-of-summer reading from it before jumping in this fall. Thanks.

Hey @craig I have been in contact with another student throughout class and this was our recent topic of discussion. It does feel like we are just re-formatting what we submitted last week. Definitely a busy-work feel to this week's assignment. But its an appreciated reprieve from the past 3 weeks of intense writing assignment.

ISDS 702 isn't bad at all... As long as you are familiar with statistics and Excel you will be fine. Koksal does a great job explaining and preparing you for the quiz and assessment. You get two attempts at the quiz (highest grade counts) and 1 attempt at quiz. He drops the lowest weeks grades.

Hi, I'm also new to LSUS MBA program. I have MKT 701 with Darrat and ISDS 705 with Gibbs. I was thinking of enrolling in MADM 701 for AP1, but am not sure of the course load. I've read that MKT 701 is quite a bit of work. Have you heard anything about Gibbs. I will be out of town for work during the first week of ISDS 705 and won't be able to get much done in the course. I wasn't sure if I should sit out that term.

I had MKT701 with James so can’t comment on Darrat’s workload, but I had Gibbs for 705 and paired with Econ. Gibbs’ workload is not hard and he is a generous grader. The structure of the course when I took it was read the chapters, answer 10 questions for each (all stuff like define this term, etc), a fast quiz for each, and then a quick activity that all built on previous weeks. If you made a good effort he pretty much gave you the points. It sounds like a lot of work but he is pretty funny as he explains what to do and I did not think the work was overwhelming. I was usually able to complete that coursework in a night and then spend the rest of the week focused on Econ.

It's one of the few classes I've taken recently where the professor actually *teaches*, which is a refreshing change from the phoned-in courses of ISDS 710 and HCAD 750.
Even if you're not doing the Data Analytics concentration or specialization, I would recommend this class along with Meeks' and Shaughnessy's as "must takes."

is it necessary to perform strategy analysis on a company?
how many words can get me 300/300 considering that the paper will be meaningful not just word counts..
