Lsusports, was ACCT 701 proctored (if you had it with Ambrosio)?
I signed up for it with Ambrosio for Fall I, but will be going on a week long cruise during Labor Day week and wanted to make sure I wouldn't have proctoring to worry about. Any help would be greatly appreciated from anyone!

It wasnt proctored when I took it, but it seems like all instructors are going to proctoring these days. If so, it still wasn't bad. Unlike some instructors, Ambrosio appeared to really care about the students. He really went out of his way to help students succeed (ex. He increased test time for 2nd and 3rd tests, open modules early, etc).

I had McGhee for ACCT. I thought she was great. Too bad I made a B.

brentb71 - thanks for that. Would you say that class with Wren is manageable to take with another?

KBurke I'd say it is. Pretty much just a lot of studying/reading and one project. It's run through the McGraw Hill site. It gives you a lot of practice quiz options but the tests still weren't easy. I had to read the material twice each week.
I doubled it with FIN 730 and managed with A's in both.

Has anybody's test from FIN 710 opened up for review yet? I sent Hseigh a problem that had no correct answers but he wants me to copy the problem and email it to him when it opens for review. (I find that ironic coming from an instructor)!

GSMBA16 he said he won't put the exam up for review until at least 48 hours after the exam closes because
"students can request a makeup exam within 48 hours after the exam is closed if they have a legitimate reason. Therefore, the earliest time the exam can be open for review is Wednesday. If there is a request and the request is granted, the exam will not be open until the makeup exam is taken."

The fact that we are all waiting to ask for clarification on two questions we all believe are incorrect, is a good indication that the no review policy shouldn't be implemented. (These two questions were math and at 3 points a piece they could be worth 14% of our exam grade.) I'm not trying to bash specific instructors, because we all make mistakes. The problem is this could be the 2nd or 3rd time (in the last two classes) that I've had to dispute questions to get the points. With a no review policy, will we just forfeit those points? I'm thankful I only have one more course!

LSU, you make a great point there about the review. Being able to review allows for validity for grades. Its not right to get docked for questions that don't have correct answers etc. Also, I never even considered that these two problems are worth 3 points a piece....that could be a huge difference in the grade as you mentioned. Difference between a low B and a mid A

Thanks for the insight everyone! I'll probably end up doubling up on ACCT 701 and FIN 701 for Fall semester. Best of luck to everyone!

Looks like we'll have a lot of users here in ACCT next session. I'll be doubling it up with MADM 701

Count me in as another student in ACCT 701 next term.

If someone is taking the ISDS 705 exam early, please leave feedback! I am taking it a 420 PST and will leave feedback when done.

Thanks wolf, I look forward to your feedback tomorrow, as I am taking it at 7CST

I'm taking ISDS 705 at 2PM PST tomorrow. I'm hoping I'm not the earliest one taking it so can get some feedback beforehand. Someone will have to go first though. :)

I scheduled ISDS exam for 6 pm CDT. I will also be in ACCT 701 next term, and I am doubling it up with MADM 715. After 715, I will be done with all MADM classes!! Whoo! Looking forward to classes that require less writing.

Unless it has changed since the Spring, I've got some good news for you.... No writing in MADM 715. Just 1 powerpoint presentation.

I got an A and I got one of the answers for every math question and did not just guess. I missed true/false questions. I don't remember if there is a test bank or everyone got the same questions.
The only professor that I can remember constantly having errors on exams and having to revise was the ISDS professor.
