Lots of them. Saying anyone who wanted Germany to win didn't "believe" in the US.

to be fair, those who were rooting for Ghana were rooting for the USA to win the group, not just advance to the knockout stage.

Which we also could have done with a German win.

Yep.

I don't see those frickers around right now spewing that horseshite.

The crap that happened today is EXACTLY why everyone should have been rooting for Germany yesterday.

WHERE YOU AT NOW, GHANA LOVERS??

yes, but it could have also been done with a tie if Ghana would have beaten Germany. not justifying that line of thinking (I was hoping for a Germany win or draw), but I understand where they are coming from.

Question for those more knowledgeable: How did Ghana play Germany to a tie (tactically and such) and is the US capable of doing similar?

I understand Ghana's more athletic but does that solely explain the Ghana-Germany result or did Germany under perform independent of Ghana's play?

Vine of Jones' goal

Top 3 goal of the tournament:

1. Cahill
2. Van Persie
3. Messi/Jones

Van Persie and Jones' are so close it could go either way.

Regardless

jones' goal was the 2nd best goal in the game today, let alone in the tournament. great goal, though.

I mean Messi's goal is certainly right there.

I think Van Persie's was better than Cahill's. The ball into Van Persie was an amazing part of it as well.

1) Van Persie
2) Cahill
3) Jones
3) Messi (tie)

Forgot about that. Tied it with Jones' they were similar type goals so they get the tie.

They're both awesome but I loved Cahill's cause you see guys trying volley all the time and almost never hitting so when Cahill got it right I just couldn't believe. Just my personal preference though.
