I don't think anyone's going to argue A&M is a better school than Texas or Rice. I'm certainly not. We've made huge strides recently but we aren't there yet. I think A&M is ahead of SMU simply based on cost. SMU is a great school though and the networking through Cox is some of the best in the country

UT is #1

But I admit I was surprised the first time I walked around campus. I expected to see a lot of hot Latinas, but I saw a bunch of hot blondes.

UT
SMU
TCU
Rice
Houston
A&M
Baylor
Tech

I know A&M is a great school FWIW and I would have been there if LSU didn't give me a full tuition scholarship. I guess it's just my friends that go there that refuse to acknowledge any other school is better.
Two of my best friends ended up on scholarship to Rice after Coach Fran pulled their offer when he took over. I'd have to say that got the better end of that deal, even though they were big A&M fans

I know a bunch of trust fund kids from NOLA without a lick of sense that went to SMU. So I would throw that school out of the discussion.

I sort of get the impression that it's where the kids with money go, who want to turn their noses up at those who go to Bama, who want to turn their noses up to those who go to Ole Miss, who all think they are turning their noses up to those who go to LSU.

So, yeah, I guess I agree.

SMU is a Country Day/St. Martin's college. Don't hear about too many Newman kids going there, at least that I know.

Yeah I would say that worked out getting a degree from Rice while avoiding Fran is certainly a good deal.

UH is a pretty strong school as well, don't discount them. But yeah, I'll definitely agree that Texas Tech is near the bottom.

Pretty much all the public schools in texas are really good, at a collegiate level of course

Yeah it's definitely a different atmosphere than UT, A&M or your average large state school. It's basically all kids from the SPC schools in TX and from other private schools around the country. There's a lot of CA kids there strangely. It's a very fun school to visit though, always tons of drugs

I hate ATM and could never see myself there (nor could i have gotten in) but Baylor blows arse. The med school is great but Waco is an awful town.

being from Houston this is where i would have wanted to go out of High School if I had the choice

UT
Rice
SMU

ATM
Tech

TCU (was too much like my high school plus the other middle to upper class white Texas high schools. Tons of rich babes though)

you got a problem with the SPC

No. They joined after my SPC days. I was actually surprised when I heard they added a fifth Houston school and it was them. If you were to go through my posting history it's probably pretty easy to figure out though
