My dads favorite was Live and Let Die, until I showed him Casino Royale.
Actually we should distinguish between favorite and best... Live and let Die was a favorite and still has its place. But if you honestly think it's the "best," than you either haven't seen more than a couple Bond movies, or have the cinematic taste of a 12 year old

Live an db let die and moonraker are my favorites. Moore is my all time favorite

wtf, is everyone on this thread legitimately in middle school?

Saying that Moonraker is the best Bond is like calling Batman & Robin the best Batman movie.

Goldeneye is overrated by many due to the impact it has had on gaming/along with being one of the best selling games of all time.
From an enjoyment standpoint/ Quantum of Solace was my personal favorite. From stunts/action/etc...while its more on the aggressive side for a bond movie it more or less better fits my nature. Plus it has one of my favorite Bond girls along with my favorite Bond.
Daniel Craig is a boss.

My top 4:
From Russia With Love
Casino Royale (remake)
Licence To Kill -- until the CR remake this was the closest the films had come to the Bond of Ian Fleming's novels
On Her Majesty's Secret Service

I love all the Bond films, but to me, nothing tops Casino Royale and Thunderbal. TB was way ahead of its time, imho.
As far as Die Another Day is concerned, I loved the villain, the weapon, the story and twist, but the invisible car, cartoonish CGI, and nonstop action ruined it for me. And as hot as Berry was, her character and acting was horrendous. But all that be damned, Graves/Moon was the shiz.

Sub Goldfinger in for Russia and this is my exact tier 1:
Tier 1:
Goldfinger, Casino Royale (2000s), License to Kill, OHMSS
Tier 2:
Dr. No, From Russia with Love, Thunderball, Skyfall, Goldeneye
Tier 3:
You Only Live Twice, Living Daylights, Spy Who Loved Me
The Rest

Why do people insist on commenting when they are clearly unfamiliar with the series?

Hmmmm, that's a tough one for me.
As much as I really like Sean Connery, I grew up when Roger Moore was Bond.
For me, my favorite is For Your Eyes Only followed very closely by The Spy Who Loved Me and Live and Let Die.
With Connery, I'd go with Dr. No.
I like the ones with Brosnan but for me, the ones I can watch over and over, like if I'm flipping channels and find one on tv and will get stuck on, are the ones I mentioned.
