What happened to the trashy comment?
I guess it was too harsh.
Better having it deleted than getting banned.
Gentlemen, I'll google a pic of this "aquarium grass".
Give me 5.

Bought two dozen and caught 2.
They freakin hide in that weed.
I let the rest go so my bass will grow.
They have enough 1 thru 4th gen bluegill to eat.
When I catch my bass, it's catch and release.
The water is muddy and everything tastes muddy from the pond. Still fun to catch them, you know.

Yep.
I always called it aquarium grass because when you bought a fish, they would through in some of the grass.
When it got too thick, just pull half of it out.
It grows like weeds.

Muddy and filled with grass?
Yes sir.
It's about 5 feet deep and has 1 to 2 feet of clarity.

Sounds like you could use a grass carp or two

That's duckweed, no.
None of that in my pond.
It has the parrot grass, wild hyacinth and water lillies I planted at all four corners.
I'll get a pick for y'all later.
Thanks for the advice everybody.

Yeah I meant to type weed instead of grass in my original post. I haven't found a weight heavy enough to punch down through this stuff.

I find the white colored soft plastics only work in the peak of spring around March or early April. I always feel more comfortable throwing something green like watermelon red.

Very good point.
They hit in a kernel of corn or anything colorful, right?
HHhhmmmmm.
Now I need to find a pond without much grass. Probably means the carp did their job and they're hungry.
Great idea.

I don't have any top water lures.
Buy a couple crank baits that are designed to only run 1-2' deep.
