Yes, I have a bright yellow weedless frog that gets zero attention.
I'll try a smaller green one, they love to eat the real thing.
Thanks for the tips everybody.
Nascarfan, a pond is a pond. Do you have fish in yours?

I would try something like a small white beetle spin or spinner bait. Whatever you are trying may be scaring them off. I have found that fish in small ponds pretty quickly learn what not to bite on, so you have to always be trying new baits.
Another of my favorites in that situation would be a very small crankbait

They liked my green and black beetle, then they smartened up.
I bought that small green frog lure and had success.
I caught two, about a pound a piece.
They looked healthy.
Then it started to rain.
My crankbaits are from 0 to 3 feet, even they pick up the parrot grass. I'm going to stick to topwater.

That baby 1 crank will stay just below the surface or go to a foot deep, based on rod tip and retrieve speed.
Since you are releasing anyway, you might consider removing the front treble or at least clipping the low hook to avoid snags

Will do.
Thx
The pond I use to stock my pond has a parrot weed problem of epic proportions.
But, lots of bass and big boy bluegills.
I caught a 1 to 1.5 bluegill couple of weeks ago on a piece of hotdog.
He went right into my pond.

I need someone to teach me how to fly fish.
You tube would probably be all I need.

If you can get the grass under control, your fish size/numbers will be better too.
And put some channel cats in that bish

Have you thought about putting some of that dye in the pond that cuts out some of the light to control weeds?

You cant beat a topwater bite. You can get the Shad Rap that runs the shallowest. Cast it and just let it sit on the surface. Give it a jerk and let it come back to the surface and let it sit. Repeat.
Get a Zara Puppy and learn how to walk the dog.
Like someone else said, get a cheap fly rod combo from Bass Pro and some poppers.

Fertilizer, it will darken the water up and help the fish grow.

Yea I've put a few bass & bream in it. The bream is doing really good. In your case I'd try a beetle spin in chartreuse or even a big spinner bait with big gold blades to slow it down in the murky water.

Just saw a hybrid striped bass pummel a bluegill in my pond. He was about a pound and a half.
Got to love egrets.
