Tulane's Yulman Stadium takes shape
There seems to be a problem with obstructed seats, due to a pressbox redesign...

When I toured Yulman 6 weeks ago the architect who gave the tour who was also a Tulane Grad told me that the press box design was not what they initially wanted but because of compromises with the neighbors it became what we see today. There are going to be seats on both sides of press box that will be obstructed and according to him they will not be sold.
Ye Olde Green Wave Forum
I'm wondering if Tulane ever plans to expand Yulman Stadium down the road. Even 30,000 is too low for a division 1 program. Having only 24,000 is completely unacceptable IMHO.

Do they even get 24K fans at their games now?

That 24,000 report, and other things in that article, are of questionable accuracy. They can add onto it.
If they sell the expensive seats and fill the cheap seats, they'll make a lot of money on the stadium, especially as there's no debt service.
We've certainly had more than 24K with any sign of continued mere competence in football. Just like a lot of schools in our realm beating their chest about attendance, were getting 4 digit attendance a few years ago during a dismal stretch.
I just hope we can win 6 this year; definitely a step up in class in schedule. We won't be overmatched by many of these teams, but I just hope we can win our share. The key is probably Tanner Lee.

By my count there are 14 rows of seats before the press box.. That's crazy!! I bet you pan am stadium has at least 20 rows of seats...this thing is a joke..

I am very happy for Tulane in getting their own stadium. I went to several Tulane games in the dome back in high school, and then saw them play McNeese (where MSU filled up the entire visitor side of the dome compared to about 5K Tulane fans). The dome offered no possibility at having student interaction or excitement about games. I plan on going to the SLU game this season.
This will be good for Tulane, NOLA, and college football.
Oh, and Tuck Fulane.

umm... that kinda makes the full capacity 30k, not 24k

small texas High school
There isn't a single Texas high school field that seats 24k.
We only have 10 at 16k or more and just 3 at 20k or more. All 3 of those are shared facilities. Mesquite Memorial (20k) is shared by 5 schools, Alamo Stadium (23k) is shared by 8, and Toyota Stadium's (21k) main purpose is for FCD of MLS.

esp small private schools that don't play in a P5 conference.
from wikipedia:
SMU: 32,000
Tulsa: 30,000
Rice: 47,000 but I don't think they average anywhere close to that
Navy: 35,000
Vandy: 40,000 but most is opposing SEC fans
30K is plenty big for Toolame and I read on ye olde green wave that their AD said there is room for expansion of 5-10K.

They always have.
Mixed drinks too.
The heavy amounts of alcohol are a requirement if you plan to stay into the second half.
