New DRB album is all ready to go,they just need to release it. It's really solid.

They've got some big stuff in the works. This could be their year.

.. and I hope they meander a little further east, to say, Atlanta.

I'm anxious to see them live.

Hmm...I just checked all the dates through the end of October...they'll be up in Idaho and Montana this summer and in the Mid-West this summer, but I didn't see anything further East than Arkansas.

Like I said, though, there's a lot going on with them right now so that could change at any point, maybe they'll add a show closer to you.

It's probably not yet. The venue where they are playing is so badass...it's right on the Horsehoe on the banks of the river, and everyone just goes to float and drink all day and then heads to the show, or floats the day before and stays on the property/somewhere in town. Two years ago it was Randy/Turnpike, and I think last year was Turnpike/Bingham.

So much fun. Take a roadtrip!

Whitewater Amphitheater. It's on FM 306 east of New Braunfels heading toward Canyon Lake. Great venue and get there early if driving. Cars have been parked as far away as a mile to walk there.

Oh! Sorry, J-Dubs! I'll shoot you a message in a bit.

Also, OP, Sons of Fathers...I think they may be breaking up but they've got some stuff that they've already released that is excellent.

CSB for you, L Boogie...

Was at Fred's a decade ago watching Wade Bowen under the tent and noticed Matt Powell playing lead guitar for him.

When they walked back up for the encore, I came up to the stage with a sheet of paper with "Dragonfly" written on it...Wade laughed his arse off and made Matt play it on the spot

Adding a few here:

JJW
REK
(Old) Jack Ingram
(Old) Pat green
Max Stalling (criminally underrated)
Kevin Fowler (kind of cheesy, but a great live show)
Roger Creager
CCR
Jason Boland (probably my personal favorite currently)

That IS a cool story. Matt is a very close friend of mine. These days he's playing with Brandon Rhyder but he is still an incredibly great singer/songwriter in his own right. And Dragonfly is amazing. Love it!
