Since we saw Grenn and Pyp die, maybe Drogon will roast her in E10 and that's why they've sped up her shitty, boring storyline? :crossesfingers:

Stannis defeating the Wildings
The Hound "dying"
Tyrion Tyrion killing Tywin
Stoneheart
That would make for a great episode.
Everything else could wait for next season; and some of those will.
Yep. I've said for a while now that Jon will not be elected LC this season.

I'm curious if they are going to bring out zombie cat because they have a lot of crap they need to get through next episode.

I'm thinking so just because Lena Headey has been posting images of Stone Hearts on her Instagram.
But beyond that it makes for a great ending scene and will only take like 2-3 minutes tops.

So is E10 the last time we'll see Varys in the show until he kills Pycelle and Kevan???

Kinda curious how they will swing this, not really feasible for him to just disappear for an entire season on TV and stay as a cast member.

Uhh.... aren't we assuming that's exactly what Michelle Fairley has done?

Dunno.
Ok, I wasn't able to catch the early show but just finished watching then went through the thread. There were some things that I liked, there were things that I thought were underwhelming, and there were a few genuine WTF moments.
First, The "you know nothing, Jon Snow" scene had to happen. It seemed cliché the way they did it compared to the book, but unfortunately they couldn't do it the same way that they did in the book because they changed the way the battle went down. I guess I'm ok with it, they got the words right, and her dying in front of him was about the only way that they could have captured that particular moment. Kudos to the guy who predicted that the kid from Mole's Town would do the deed.
No way they were doing Tywin/Tyrion in this episode.
The stuff that I liked:
The anchor blade thing to sweep off the climbers was fricking badass
The giant archer was cool too
Jon taking out the Thenn with a hammer
Dropping the oil on the mammoths and the giants was good
Dolorous Ed commanding the Wall was good
The bad:
I looked at the clock when the episode ended. Was this like a 50 minute episode? For episode 9? That was disappoint
Alliser Thorne wasn't even at Castle Black in the books, here he is not only in command but he's being a badass. Truth, guys, I don't think there will be a vote for LC at all.
Grenn and Pyp both? Really? You needed to kill off a character that the audience liked to get the right magnitude for the sacrifice in the tunnel to kill Mag the Mighty. Fine. No Donal Noye in the show, so they use Grenn. Don't like it, but I get it. But they did not have to kill off Pyp.

Yeah, but she's been busy with other shows this year, and truly will be a once a season type person going forward. I'm assuming Varys will show up more in WOW, but who knows, you are pretty much on target there.

Varys will be fine if he took a year off. He had a guest starring role on Suits (with Michelle Fairley too, actually) so I'm sure he'll work as much as he wants.
Much like I expect the Lady Stoneheart to happen in the last episode of this season, I think Varys won't appear again until the last episode of next season.
Even better, and looking further ahead, I'd love it if the first episode of season six established Kevan as a bad arse who finally made it to King's Landing to clean up Cersei's mistakes, only to be killed by the episode's end. Of course who knows how they're going to pace everything from here on out?
I don't think the murder of Kevan would have as great an impact if we see him at all - just hear passing mentions of no one knowing where he is, thinking he's in Pentos or something.

I'd be shocked if Stoneheart isn't just a 1 minute scene at the very end of the episode as an "oh shite!" moment for the season cliffhanger.
Have Arya laying on a boat reading her list of names before going to bed and then ending with Walder Frey and then cut to a guy tied up with a noose around his neck saying that he is Walder Frey's son and would fetch a nice ransom, then have Thoros ask him whether he was at the Red Wedding, he begins pleading that all he did was drink, then Thoros says let the lady decide, cut to Stoneheart -"Guilty"...fade to black
Hodors minds = exploded

Yep. And frankly, we don't see Varys very often anyway.
Ok, so next episode. They threw a few curves by not taking us all the way to Stannis, but it still sets up as we had thought, more or less:
- (Added) Jon goes out to meet with Mance. Dalla's in labor, Mance and Jon are making a "Hey, we're all human after all and we love our children, let's work together to kill White Walkers" kinda truce when Stannis shows up. Not the same as the books, but it would be like D&D to go this route. After all, Jon went to Mance willingly, unlike in the books. He has to have more of a plan than just trying to go kill him.
- Still think we get the Hound either being wounded or finally getting too weak from the bite wound. At this point in the show, he is all that she has, and they drove that point home with the scene at the Bloody Gate last week. She refuses to give him the gift of mercy, probably because she can't bring herself to do it, and rides on. I thought at the beginning of the season that her POV would end with her approaching the Titan of Braavos. Now I think it ends with her giving the Braavosi captain the iron coin and him saying "of course, you'll have a cabin" or "Valar Morghulis".
- Tyrion's POV ends with "Wherever whores go". Unfortunately, it would be like D&D to make Shae the "whore" in that statement, skip him strangling her, and instead set it up that Tywin made her testify against Tyrion upon fear of death. I hope they stick with Tysha, but that could be tough to get across to the Hodors.
- Bran makes it to Bloodraven. Guessing we don't actually get Coldhands. They meet the children of the forest and Bran's POV ends with our first glimpse at Bloodraven.
- Originally thought that Dany's POV would end with the goatherder bringing her his son's bones. Now I agree with an earlier post, that happens and she locks up her dragons.
- I honestly don't think we get a vote for LC. Ever. Thorne is dying from his wound. He is forced to choose between the bastard that he hates but would be a good leader or Slynt who everyone saw freeze in the face battle then hide like a coward. He chooses Jon over Slynt, which was the reason for the conversation between him and Jon at the top of the wall before the battle.
- Stoneheart for the ending

I don't know, it'd be nice if they have him as an established character for a season or two that was clearly capable of getting things in order and not as batshit crazy as Cersei or apathetic as Tywin so that hes a likeable character imo
It was pretty jarring to read his POV and think hes righted the ship and heading in the right direction with Tommen and then have him get murdered like that.
Plus Kings Landing will need to have characters that the audience can root for as well since Oberyn is dead and Sansa, Jaime and Tyrion are all leaving/left. Tommen and Kevan were pretty sympathetic in the books imo

Has this been posted yet? I guess Arya notices something Lannister-related on Pod and runs off while Brienne and Sandor are fighting each other.
Big pic of Arya, Sandor, and probably Brienne in the Vale.

I really enjoyed last nights episode It was much better than last weeks in terms of living up to expectations.
