On a non boring note. 5 of my class of 12 jr team golfers made it through local qualifying for drive chip and putt. 6 tried out.

If you know who had done it it sure as hell wouldn't have been "boring".
Since this guy has dominated 2 big tourneys now it makes for an interesting story to see how he does at the next one.

So Rickie now has a top 5 in the Masters and a T2 at the US Open for 2014. I'm pulling for him to make the Ryder Cup.

I was waiting for this comment. For the record, Tiger's wins at the 97 Masters, 00 US Open, and 00 British Open were definitely boring, and I barely remember any specific shots from them either. Same for Rory's 2 major wins.

You only pick 2 of the guys that don't make the squad. That list of guys could easily include Phil, Tiger, Zach Johnson, Steve Stricker, Keegan, Hunter Mahan, Snedeker, and Rickie Fowler. I could easily see him being left off.

We need young blood on the Ryder Cup team. The old vets (Stricker, Johnson, etc) are about 1-4 lifetime in the Ryder Cup.
